- - 1903 - - CYRUS GRAMMAR SCHOOL GRADUATES.

CYRUS, Minn.-A class of five, four young ladies and one young man, will be graduated from the Cyrus grammar school Friday night. This is the second year commencement exercises have been held at this place.

217 School District Members and Officers Hold Conference.

GLENWOOD, Minn.-School district members and officers to the number of 213 met here yesterday, under the provisions of the new school law. State Superintendent Olson, Principal Mayne of the agricultural school and Superintendent Erickson of Douglas county were present. It was the largest meeting of the kind yet held in the state, and very enthusiastic and helpful. There are ninety-seven district in the county.

Upwards of one hundred are in the teachers' summer school now in session here. Professor R. B. McLean of Wheaton is conductor; E. E. Lockerby of Paynesville, B. K. Saevre of Glenwood and Miss Nettie Wallace, assistants.

The Glenwood board of education elected O. K. Omlie of Spring Grove superintendent for the next year at a salary of $1,200, in place of Frank McIntyre, who goes to St. Cloud.
