MOUNTAIN CLIMBER PROVEN DEAD.
(Associated Press by Leased Wire.)
Los Angeles, May 5.-That T. Y. Callaghan, globe trotter and mountain climber, perished in a storm on Mount Ranier on August 15, 1909, was proved in probate court yesterday. The only exhibits offered in evidence were Callaghan's alpine stock and gloves, which were found on the trail where he was last seen alive. Callaghan left a small estate, including funds in Los Angeles banks, and proof of his death was a requisite to the granting of letters of administration in order that this might be distributed to his brother, Owen Callaghan, of Corvallis, Ore., and his sister, Mrs. A. R. Riordan, of Clontarf, Minn.
