County Information
Established by the Minnesota Territorial Legislature in February of 1856.
Fort Ripley was in the original county, which extended east to the Mississippi.
John Baines Smith Todd was in command of the Fort at that time, and it was named after him.
Parent County: Stearns
County Seat: Long Prairie
