Shinn, Grace E. Grace E. Shinn, 79, a native of Minnesota who had lived in Washington for 23 years, died of pneumonia May 7 at a hospital in Stillwater, Minn. Mrs. Shinn was born in Stillwater and moved to Washington in 1948 with her husband, the late Army Col. Robert V. Shinn. She remained here until 1971 when she returned to Stillwater. Her marriage to Col. Shinn ended in divorce. Survivors include three sons, Robert, of Frankfurt, West Germany, Prescott, of Jiddah, Saudi Arabia, and John, of Stillwater; three daughters, Libby Maffre of Bethesda, Ruth Sugeno of Austin, Tex., and Vikki McGrath of McLean; 12 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
