DEAR SIR: Take Notice - That in pursuance of a commission for that purpose, we shall take the deposition of Carter Beverley Esq., on Tuesday 13th June next, between sunrise and sunset, at the office of Henry Tooley, Esq., in the city of Natchez and State of Mississippi, to be read in evidence in a suit depending in the superior court of chancery for Richmond District, in which you are plaintiff and ourselves and defendants.  Should not the siad deposition be taken out on that day, it will be postponed from day to day until the same shall be taken at the above place and hours.

Campbell's Case Scheduled Monday

    Natchez, Miss., Dec. 18 - The case of A. C. Campbell, president of the First Natchez Bank, charged with receiving a deposit in an insolvent bank, and who received a sentence of three years in the Penitentiary, is now on the criminal docket of the Supreme Court for next Monday.

    The case of Major Davis, the Negro assistant cashier of the Bluff City Savings Bank, who was sentenced to five years for embezzling at the same term of court will also come up Monday. [The Times-Democrat, New Orleans, LA - December 19, 1914]



WOMAN ASKS DAMAGES
Vicksburg, Aug. 16. --   In the circuit court Saturday morning the suit of Mrs. Anna E. Hayes vs. The Yazoo and Mississippi Valley Railroad Company was files.  The plaintiff seeks damages for the death of her husband J. D. Hayes which she claims was caused by the negligence of the defendant corporation.

    It is alleged n the declaration that J. D. Hayes had to travel in a car with some of his household goods which were being shipped from Moline, Illinois to Yokena, Miss., and that defendant carelessly caused another car to run into this car and that by reason thereof J. D. Hayes was thrown against the side and floor of his car and suffered injuries from which he afterwards died.  J. D. Thames and A. A. Chaney are the attorneys.
