Alcorn County Mississippi

Farmington, Mississippi
Re-Birth Of A Town

Farmington was originally chartered in 1838 but the Civil War took its toll on the community and surrounding areas.  After enduring
yellow fever and "The Big Freeze" of 1909, this community continued to hold together and once again began to grow.
Farmington was re-incorporated in 1997.  The City of Farmington now has a Mayor, City Board,
Police Service, Public Services, and is a growing community.
