AFFRAY - An affray occurred at Grand Gulf, (Miss.) a short time since between Mr. DUFFIELD, editor of the Grand Gulf Whig, and two brothers named SMITH. In the course of the fracas, Mr. DUFFIELD was knocked down, and twice fired at by the Smiths. He, however recovered himself, and with a knife inflicted several wounds on each of assailants, which is it thought would prove mortal to both. Public opinion justified Mr. DUFFIELD. - Sun.
