Hephzibah Community

Two cotton gins, two gristmills, a sawmill, around three stores and Hephzibah Baptist Church graced the community of Hephzibah just outside of Shubuta.  There was Starling's gristmill and cotton gin on the Shubuta Creek, and not far away was Smith's saw mill.  Stalling's store was owned by Joe Stallings, who also had a blacksmith shop and gristmill.
