Mae C. Lang

INKSTER, Mich. — Services for Mae C. Lang will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Pilgrim Travelers Missionary Baptist Church in Inkster, Mich., with the Rev. Charlie E. Knighten officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Memorial Park in Livonia, with Penn Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Lang, 76, of
Inkster, died Monday, Jan. 15, 2007, at Garden City Hospital. Mae C. Lang was born to the late Willie Lang and Ruby Horne Lang on Oct. 12, 1930, in Carmichael, Miss., Clarke County. He confessed Christ at an early age. After being schooled in Clark County, he moved to Inkster, and worked for Ford Motor Company in Detroit for more than 30 years and retired July 1, 1983, to enjoy his life. He married Edna Mae Jones in 1953.

Survivors include his mother, Ruby Lang of Meridian, Miss.; sisters, Maxine “Sue” Lewis of Inkster, Willie “Doll” Lang of Meridian, Rosie Lee “Bett” Lang of Quitman, Miss.; brother, A.C. “Porter” Lang Sr. of Meridian; grandson, Deon “De-De” Nelson; granddaughters, Latandra and Bridgett Harrington; three great-grandchildren, D.J. Ladez, Trinity Ladez, Oshea Ladez; sister-in-law, Suzy Bell Harrison; 17 nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Mae Jones; son, Levon “Lee” Lang; and his grandparents, Mary Anderson Horne and Clem Horne.

Pallbearers will be Romero Hoffer Lang, Andre’a D. Lang, Eric Lang, Rolando Lang, Bobbye Lang Jr., Anthonio Lang, Pierre Lang, Tommy Dashawn Lang, Jermaine Wright; honorary pallbearers, Bobbye Lang Sr., Johnny Lee Lang, Tommy Joe Lang, Robert Lewis, Deon “De-De” Nelson and Ronnie Washington.

Lola Grace Lewis

QUITMAN — Services for Lola Grace Lewis will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Wright’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Lewis, 88, of Pachuta, died Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, at White Nursing Home. She was a member of
Homewood Methodist Church for more than 50 years. She will be remembered as one who loved God, her family and was a caregiver to all that knew her. She will be missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter, Rita L. Goodman and her husband, Granveil, of Meridian; a son, Wayne Lewis and his wife, Susan, of Quitman; grandchildren, Stacy G. Baggett and her husband, Michael, of Meridian, Amber Lewis of Oxford and Corey Lewis of Pulaski; great-grandson, Brandon Baggett; daughter-in-law, Sheila Lewis Walls; a sister-in-law, Ruby Ellis of Jackson; a sister, Mary Lou Crick of Hattiesburg and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Tully Lewis; a son, Keith Lewis; brothers, Wilton Welch, Talmage Welch, Jimmy Welch, Ralph Welch and Curtis Welch and her parents, Mary and Ben Welch.

Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Myrtle Grace Lewis

QUITMAN — Graveside services for Myrtle Grace Lewis will be held at Wednesday at
10 a.m. at Shady Grove Pentecostal Cemetery with the Revs. Brad Nicholson and Gary McInnis officiating. Wright’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Lewis, 84, of Quitman, died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2007, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital in Quitman.

Survivors include her brother, Howard Lewis of Houma, La.; sister, Velma McGrew of Quitman; brother-in-law, Wilkie Anderson of Quitman and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

QUITMAN — Services for Eloise M. Lightsey will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at
Souenlovie Baptist Church with the Revs. Parker Chancellor and Allen Gipson officiating. Burial will be in Souenlovie Cemetery. Wright’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Lightsey, 93, of
Enterprise, died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2007, at Riley Hospital.

Survivors include her son, John
Robert Lightsey of Enterprise; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Madison McDaniel and Evalina Garner.

Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.

Jesse J. Little

Services for Jesse J. Little will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Chapel of Wright's Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy Garrison officiating.  Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.

    Mr. Little, a resident of Route 2, Enterprise, died Sept. 6.

    Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mildred Little; three sons, Billy J. Little, Coral Springs, F;a., Bobby R. Little, Birminham, Ala., Milton E. Little, Pascagoula; three daughters, Mrs. David (Nellie) Thompson, Quitman, Mrs. Dennis (Judy) Chatham, Quitman, Mrs. Pete (Shira) Campbell, Baton Rouge, La.; two brothers, Robert Little, Krotz Springs, La., Floyd Little, Enterprise; 19 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Dies After Suffers Fall

John Gray Little, 93, , Of Enterprise, Receives Broken Hip; Funeral Services Thursday Afternoon

John Gray Little, age 93, died at the home of his son, W. E. Little, in West Enterprise, Wednesday afternoon, as a result from a fall from a chair several days ago.  He sustained a broken hip in the fall, after which he never able to leave his bed.

Funeral Services were to be held Thursday at 3:30 p. m. from the home of W. E. Little, with the Rev. C. E. Hendricks officiating.  Burial will follow in the Whitman cemetery.

Surviving him are five sons: J. E. Little, Louisiana; J. H., B. F., J. L., and W. E. Little, all of Enterprise; 44 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers: J. H. Buckley, J. W. Poole, Kelly Parks, Erby (sic) Richardson. N. L. Bogan, and the Rev. L. R. Massey.

Mildred Brannan Little

    Services for Mildred Brannan Little were held July 18, 1996, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Pine Hill Cemetery.  Rev. Leland Goodman officiated.

    Mrs. Little, 83, of Quitman, died July 16, 1996, at Rush Foundation Hospital.

    Survivors include three sons, Billy J. Little, Enterprise; Bobby R. Little, Foley, AL; Milton E. Little, Pascagoula; three daughters, Nellie L. Thompson, and Shira Campbell, both of Quitman; and Judy Tannehill, Union; a sister, Hattie B. Overby; 17 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, J. J. Little; a son, Michael K, Little; and two grandchildren.

J. D. Lucas

    Services for J. D. Lucas were held Thursday, June 20, 1996, at 2 p. m. at the Forest Hill United Methodist Church in Mobile, Ala., with burial in the Pine Crest Cemetery, Mobile, Ala.  Roche-Belmany-Herrington Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

    Mr. Lucas, 85, of Mobile, died Monday, June 17, 1996, at the Cogburn Nursing Home in Mobile.  He was a native of the Langsdale Community, in Clarke County.

    Survivors include his wife, Georgia M. Lucas, Mobile; three sisters, Carrie Lee Carmichael of the Carmichael Community, Mary Griffith and Annie Odom, both of the Langsdale Community; two nieces and two nephews; four great-nieces; three great-nephews and one great-great niece and one great-great-nephew.
