Interment followed in Movella Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. John Mills officiating the services.
A veteran of the U.S. Army after 23 years of service to his country and a member of Pineview Missionary Baptist Church, he died March 21. He was born November 19, 1947 in Hattiesburg.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn (Davis) Anderson; daughter Samantha (Phillip) Hunt; sons James (Rachael) Anderson, Wayne (Kamera) Anderson, Matthew (Ashley) Anderson; grandchildren J. T. Hunt, Sam Anderson, Seth Anderson, Logan Pierce, Peighton Pierce, Katie Anderson, Joe Anderson, Madeline Anderson and Ryan Welther.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clifton and Frances (James) Anderson, Sr.

Obit: Ricky Lee Allen, age 51, a resident of George County, Mississippi, passed away in Mobile, Alabama, on Wednesday, February 12, 2014. He was born December 15, 1962, in Pascagoula, Mississippi. He was employed as a shore engineer by Omega Protein of Moss Point, Mississippi. Ricky was a devoted outdoorsman, an avid hunter who also loved to fish, cook and follow NASCAR devotedly.
The family wishes to express their special thanks to the ladies of Amelia's Gardens for the loving care extended to Ricky, and also to their church family at Hurley Baptist Church for their long and devoted support during this lengthy illness.
Ricky was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Boyd and Lou Don Gamblin and his father-in-law, Billy Poore.
Survivors include his devoted wife, Wanda Poore Allen; his daughter, Hayley Diane Allen; his sep-son, 2nd Lt, USAF Joshua Olin Williams of Wichita Falls, Texas; his brother, Douglas Neal Allen; his father and mother, Grover and Frances Allen; his mother-in-law, Mary Daley Poore, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Unless otherwise noted, all relatives are residents of George County, Mississippi.
Visitation for Ricky will be Saturday, February 15, 2014, from 10 am until 12 noon, with the funeral service following at 12 noon from Heritage Funeral Home's chapel in Escatawpa/Moss Point, Mississippi. Rev. John Micah Egbert will officiate the service. Music will be provided by Shirley and Charlie Robbins.
Interment will follow at Movella Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are: Jesse Craft, Glenn Craft, 2nd Lt, USAF Joshua Williams, Danny Carter, Randall Bosarge, and Richie Bourn

Obit: Charles Wesley Agent, 44, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2014. Wesley was born on September 21, 1969, in Pascagoula, MS. He attended George County High School and graduated in 1987. Wesley served in the Navy. He was a member of Barton Baptist Church. He lived in Lucedale, MS and worked at Fluor Corporation as a General Foreman. Wesley will be especially remembered for his love and devotion to his family and friends. His gentle acts of kindness were felt by all who knew him. Wesley was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Wesley was preceded in death by his infant son, Tyler William Agent; his grandparents, Carlie and Erma Agent; and his grandfather, Enos Firth.
He is survived by his wife, Bekki (Stanley) Agent, who he married on April 22, 1992; his parents, Charlie and Sunny Agent; his children, Michael Agent and Cory (Aleigha) Agent; his beloved granddaughter, Jazlynn Marie Agent; his brothers and sisters, Allison (Marty) Davis, Jamie (Mandy) Agent, Jodi (Vince) Carlisle, and Jason (Heather) Agent; his grandmother, Mary (Harlan) Altaffer; numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Escatawpa, MS. Funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel beginning at 2:00 pm. One dead following fatal wreck in Jackson County Friday night

JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -
One man is dead following a fatal wreck Friday night in Jackson County. According to Jackson County Coroner Vicki Broadus, Charles Agent was found dead on the scene at Cedar Creek Bridge on Highway 63.
She said Agent is in his 40s and was the passenger in the vehicle. Broadus said the driver survived the accident.
No word yet on what caused the accident.

She always tried to do what was right, she had a beautiful, giving spirit.
She departed this life on Saturday evening July 20, 2013 at Singing River Hospital. .

Mr. James "Leroy" Acreman, 81, of Ocean Springs, died Saturday, August 12, 2006, in Ocean Springs.
Mr. Acreman was born in Crenshaw County, Alabama and had been a resident of Jackson County for the past 51 years. he was retired from the State of Mississippi as a bridge tender.
Mr. Acreman was preceded in death by his wife, Buford Money Acreman; his parents, Jesse E. and Georgia Petty Acreman, and three sisters, Corine Cornett, Olean Dean Moss and Inez Thaggard. Survivors include his daughter, Patsy Foreman, and her husband, Ken, of Ocean Springs; three grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2006, at 10 a. m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Antioch Methodist Church Cemetery in Benndale, MS.

She is survived by a sister, Louise Renfroe of Vicksburg; 11 nieces and nephews, 25 great-nieces and nephews, nine great-great-nieces and nephews and two pending.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles H. and Winnie Allen; five brothers, Henry, Daniel, Herbert, T. D. and Ed Allen; three sisters, Beulah Hughes, Helen Alen and Bessie Fike and nephew James Archie Hughes, Jr.
Interment was held at the Woodard Cemetery with Rev. Walter Howard officiating the services.
Pallbearers were her great-nephews.

Obit: Denson "DJ" Allen, Sr., 62, died April 4, 2006 in George County. Mr. Allen was born October 29, 1943 in Moss Point. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, a 32nd Degree Mason with East Central Lodge #631 and Scottish Rite of Gulfport. An avid hunter and camper, he was retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding as an electrical foreman after 39 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his children, Joe Allen, Kathy Allen Davis, his parents, Norman and Mary Allen and brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife Jill Allen, a son D. J. Allen, both of George County, grandchildren, Amanda (Chris) Smith of Ocean Springs; Sara Allen of Ocean Springs; Shanda (Donnie) Dickson of Moss Point; Josh Allen of Hurley; great-grandchildren, Max Smith of Ocean Springs; Jaydon Dickson of Moss Point; sister Charlotte Stiles of Ocean Springs; brothers, Gene Allen of Gautier; Norman Allen of Ocean Springs, and many nieces, nephews and his church family.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 5, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Escatawpa. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 6 at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Gill White officiating. Burial will follow in Salem-Carter Cemetery in George County.

Obit: Funeral rites for Dr. Edward H. Allen, Sr., 71, of Monroe, La., were held January 19, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Monroe at 2 p.m.
A George County native, Dr. Allen was a retired professor at North Louisiana University, where he was employed as Professor of Animal Science from 1953 until 1986. He was Faculty Advisor for the NLU Rodeo Club and the Delta Demeter. He also served in the U. S. Navy from 1942 to 1945 and was a member of the College Place Baptist Church.
Dr. Allen was an instructor of Veterinary Farm Training in Vicksburg, 1946-48; worked for Farmer's Home Administration in Humphrey County, 1948-1951, and in Smith County in 1953.
He was listed in the Who's Who in the South and Southwest. He received his BS degree in 1946 and his M. S. in 1953 from Louisiana State University, and his PhD from Mississippi State University in 1967.
Dr. Allen holds membership in many clubs and groups. Among them are A Big Indian Club of the Annual Alumni Fund; Personalities of the South; American and Louisiana Society of Animal Science; Louisiana Teachers' Association; Louisiana Farm Bureau, Louisiana Cattlemen's Association and was a charter member of the National Cattlemen's Association where he serve as treasurer, secretary, vice president and presiden.
He died January 17 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center after a long illness.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Barnes Allen of Monroe; a son, Edward Hamilton Allen, Jr. of Center, Tex.; two daughters, Bettie Marie Ellen Gill of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Barbara Melessia Allen Robinson of Monroe; three grandsons, Andrew Patrick Gill, Christopher Hess Robinson and Benjamin Hamilton Gill; and two granddaughters, Melissa Merritt Robinson and Amanda Lynn Allen.
Also surviving are three sisters, Bertha Lee Allen of Mobile, Ala.; Bessie Mae Fike of Lucedale; and Winnie Louise Renfroe of Vicksburg, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Officiating at the services were Dr. Bryant Barnes and Rev. T. Earl Ogg. Interment was in the Monroe Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home.
Pallbearers included R. A. Hunter, Bill Sherman, J. W. Keller, F. H. Holdeman, Travis Davis, Enos Thompson, Lee Estes and Felton Gates. Honorary pallbearers were ushers and deacons of College Place Baptist Church.
The family requested that memorials be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home in Monroe.

She was a native of George County, a housewife and member of the East View Church of God. She resided on Harper Road in the Rocky Creek community. She died November 21 at the George County Hospital following a sudden illness.
She is survived by a daughter, Bobbie Jean Martin of Lucedale; four sons, Luther Eugene Allen, Jerry Allen, Wayne Allen and Tony Allen, all of Lucedale. and 10 grandchildren.
Other surivivors include three sisters, Beatrice Holliman, Minnie Seals and Billie Keel, all of Lucedale; and three brothers, Milton Bolin, Marvin Bolin and Carl Bolin, also of Lucedale.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Allen; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sol Bolin and two brothers, Bill and Tommy Bolin.
Services were conducted by Revs. Norris Woodard and Marshall McLeod. Interment was in the Eubanks Cemetery with Fails Funeral Service directing.

Services were conducte by Rev. Terry Fairley, who gave the Eulogy; Sister Anna L. Travis, mistress of order and obituary; and Sister Mittie Butler, who gave acknowledgements.
Interment was in the Greater Mt. Zion Church Cemetery in Indian Springs community with Cook and Galloway Funeral Home of Lucedale in charge of arrangements.
Active pallbearers were family and friends. Flower attendants were ushers and friends.

A member of the First Baptist Church in Benndale, serving as a song leader, singer and musician, he died June 14, 2005.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Minnie (Moore) Ainsworth; four sisters, Leona (Berlyn) Holifield, Maude Mae (Arlie) Davis, Lettie Jewel (Ross) Hodge and Juanita (Robert) Holmes; and a great-granddaughter, Kirsten Havard.

Obit: Mr. Phillip E. Aaron, age 92, farmer/timber grower, and a 69-year resident of George County, died of heart failure April 9 at Benndale Personal Care Home in Benndale, where he was a resident with loving care for the last three-and-a-half years.
Mr. Aaron was born in Liberty, Mississippi, in 1909, where he became a high school football star. He attended the Louisiana State University, majoring in engineering.
He became an expert in building ice plants during the 1930's, later owning the Lucedale Ice Plant in Lucedale for several years. Also, Mr. Aaron was a Victory Worker for Ingalls Shipyard at Pascagoula for several years. And finally, he acquired farm acreage in and around Lucedale where he raised cattle and grew timber.
Mr.. Aaron was a 32 degree Mason and a colonel on the staff of Governor Paul B. Johnson.
Mr. Aaron was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Dora Carter Aaron. He is survived by a host of nieces and nephews and many friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 11 at 11 a.m. at George County Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Poole officiating.

A native of Hurley, she had an Associates degree in business and worked at Merchants and Marine Bank for over 30 years. She was also an active member of the United Methodist Women, Eastern Star and Fort Knightly. She died July 10, 2009.
She is survived by her daughter, Trisha (Gene) Havard; son Willie David (Tanya) Ardoin; eight grandchildren, Tara Gene (John) Babb, Katy Teressa (Rodney) King, Harley Joseph (Christina) Havard, Gina Eileen (Shane) Skinner, David Travis (Katie) Ardoin, Corbin Grant Ardoin, Logan Walker Ardoin and Breanna Ree Ardoin; 17 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Hermes (Sue) Hamilton, Frank (Peggy) Hamilton, and John (Betty Sue) Hamilton; two sisters, Oraine (Joe) Ardoin and Nellie Mae Hamilton Schatz and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Willie Ardoin; great-granddaughter, Makayla King; parents, Gavin Malcom Hamilton and Jewel Loraine Jones Hamilton; two sisters, Vera and Willadean and nephew, Dalton Ladnier.

Obit: Funeral services were held for Bro. L. J. Archie, Jr., born January 20, 1944 to the late Bro. L. J. Archie, Sr. and Sis. Ora Lee Archie, in Waynesboro. He was educated in the Waynesboro School System.
Bro. Archie moved to Biloxi and united with the Main Street Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He was employed for several years at the Hinroland Hospital in Chicago, Ill., and later moved back to Biloxi. He loved to cook gourmet foods. You could always find him lending a helping hand to someone in need. He also loved children and would keep them for many of his family members.
Bro. Archie united in holy matrimony to Sis. Leaster Archie on April 3, 1976. To this union no children were born. This couple reared one goddaughter from the age of two, Lenora M. Fairley, who is now 15 years old.
Bro. Archie departed this life Wednesday, September 12, 2001. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bro. L. J. Archie Sr. and Sis Ora Lee Archie and a sister, Sis. May Ruth Bishop.
Bro. Archie leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Sis. Leaster Archie; a goddaughter, Lenora M. Fairley; three sons, Gregory D. June, Maurice Archie and Eric Archie, all of Columbus, Ohio; three step-daughters, Sherlyn June, Mary K. June and Sabrine June, all of Columbus, Ohio; five brothers, Walter Archie of Cleveland, Ohio, Gerald Harris of Waynesboro, William Harris of Lorman, Joe L. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Fred Paul Andrews, Sr.; two sons, Danny Walton Andrews and Michael Perry Andrews; two daughters, Eunice Pauline Andrews and Tina Marie Andrews; one grandson, Robert Shane Ashley; a brother, Glenn Havard and two sisters, Faye Smith and Patty Jean Havard.
She is survived by two sons, Fred Paul Andrews, Jr., of New Orleans, La., and Ernest Lee Andrews of Lucedale; four daughters, Winnie Fred (Maxie) Mullen of Denham Springs, La, Brenda (Roy) Toepfer of River Ridge, La., Donna Andress Firmin and Denise Campos, both of Denham Springs, La; one brother, Steve Havard of Pascagoula; two sisters, Earnestine Smith of Terrytown, La. and Ruth Burlison of Lakeland, Fla., 18 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. July 12, from Catchings Funeral Home in McComb with Jim Turner officiating the services. Interment was held at Hollywood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Randy Bankston, Sandy Studdard, Drew Studdard, Brandon Studdard, Jamie Studdard and Chris.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Turner Anderson and Carolyn Anderson Penrod; a brother, Cecil C. Anderson; a sister, Mary Dye; and a great-granddaughter, Emily Anderson.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Madean Anderson; two sons, Tim (Debbie) Anderson of Lucedale and Wayne (Jeanie) Anderson of Benndale; two daughters, Janette (Gene) Entrekin and Brenda (Fred) Croom, both of Lucedale; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, James E. He was preceded in death by his wife, Adela, daughter Thelma Hill; six brothers, Freeman, Colia, Marvin, Short Boy, Starlin and Ebneezer and seven sisters, Albertine, Elouise, Olivia, Amanda, Laura, Collice and Nattie.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories, one devoted daughter, Veola Anderson of Atmore, Ala.; a sister Evangelist Georgia Anderson Cowan of Lucedale; a brother, L. C. (Ruby) Anderson of Lucedale, nine grandchildren, one devoted niece, Iola Anderson Gordone of Mobile, Ala. and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Alma Cooley Aylesworth; four children, Dwight M. Aylesworth of Raleigh, N.C., Cheryl Aylesworth of Mobile, Ala., Wanda K. Aylesworth of Huntsville, Ala., and Paul B. Aylesworth of Fort Worth, Texas, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a sister, Myrtle Lee Hollinghead of Lucedale.
Interment will be held at Magnolia Cemetery. A military chaplain will conduct the funeral services.

Visitation was Wednesday, December 18, from 6 until 9 p.m., at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point.
Funeral services were Thursday, December 19, at 2 p.m., from Eastside Assembly of God Church in Moss Point with the Rev. Wendell Stork officiating. There was a one hour visitation in the church prior to service time.
Interment followed in Serene Memorial Gardens, Escatawpa.
