He was preceded in death by his wife Truly Dean Brockway Bond; parents Alvin H. and Sadie (Howell) Bond Sr.; brother Lamar Bond; and sisters Annie Bell Strahan, Cleo Hockaday and Ozemer Boyles.

She was a former resident of the Ward community and a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church. She died June 27 in Pensacola after an extended illness.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James (Annie) Smith of Pensacola, Fla.,; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Neal (Carolyn) Harrell of Wilmer, Ala.; and Mr. and Mrs. Danny (Dolly) Harrell of Lucedale; 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Also surviving are two sisters, Inez Marshall of Lucedale and Louise Richerson of Repton, Ala.; and a brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Sedley (Mable) Eckhoff of Mobile, Ala.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugo A. Eckhoff and Emma Graham Eckhoff.

Services were conducted by Rev. J. W. McInnis. Interment was in the Union Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, with George County Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers included Buddy Harrell, Mitchell Harrell, Roy Douglas Edwards, Scally Mizell, Dale Harrell and Greg Smith.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Boykin is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Albert Davis, Alfred Davis, Claudie Davis (twin), Pearl Dickerson, Luna Gibson, Mazie Wallace, Daisy Bodiford, and Myrtis Turner. She is survived by her husband, Lester Kenneth Boykin; sons, Kenneth Wayne (Caroline) Boykin of Wade, MS and Thomas Joseph (Mickie) Boykin of Helena, MS; stepson, Lester Kenneth (Cynthia) Boykin Jr. of Oklahoma; grand-children, Bradley Boykin, Garrett (Carrie) Boykin, Benjamin (fiance' Brellen Hutchison) Boykin, Kenneth Boykin, and Kamryn Boykin; sister-in-law, Delores Davis; brother-in-law, Merle Bodiford; great-grandchildren, Joseph Boykin Jr. and Dayton Boykin; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of friends. He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Carpenter's Union #184 in New Orleans, La.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Anna L. Bodker of Lucedale; two daughters, Linda Diane Bodker of Baton Rouge, La. and Karen Gail (Brian) Freedman of London, England; two sons, Wayne Curtis (Martha) Bodker of New Orleans, La and David Lindsey (Karen) Bodker of New Orleans; seven grandchildren, Shawn, Craig, Seth, Eric, Lindsay, Jennifer and Caitlyn; and many nieces,nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Craig Daryl Bodker.
A private celebration of Oswald's life will be held at a later date.

Obit: Funeral services for Donald Arthur Bond, 58, were held Wednesday, April 22 at Rocky Creek Baptist Church at 2 p.m.
He died April 20, 1992 at Providence Hospital, following a brief illness. He was a native of Lamar County, but had resided in Rocky Creek for 12 years. He was a member, deacon and Sunday School teacher at Rocky Creek Baptist Church. He was employed as a mechanic at Billy's Auto Service.
Bond is survived by his wife, Annie Faye (Burroughs) Bond; three children, Lynda Bond, Laura Adams and Leslie Bond, all of Lucedale, and two granddaughters.
Also surviving are three sisters, Marie Ladner of Poplarville, Elaine Wade and Nelda Archer, both of Lumberton; and one brother, Howard Bond of Lumberton.
Conducting the service were Rev. Roy Myers and Bro. Charlie Bufkin. Interment was in the Rocky Creek Cemetery. Fails Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Freddy McLeod, Pat Mallette, Jimmy Day, Billy McCaa, L. D. West and Mike Smith. Honorary pallbearers were fellow deacons and members of the Homebuilders Sunday School Class.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W. T. Bounds, Sr.; a grandson, Joseph Bounds; a brother and two sisters.
She is survived by a son, Dr. William T. Bounds, Jr., and wife Jonnie of Conway, Ark.; daughter, Mimi Steele and husband, Dr. Norman P. Steele, Jr. of Kirkwood, MO; sister Warene Wood of Pensacola, Fla.; grand daughters, Jennifer McCoy, Kristine Biesiadecki and Jacque Euritt; and six great grandchildren.
A Gathering of Remembrance of Mrs. Bounds will be held December 14, 2002, at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Lucedale with Rev. Bud Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery.

A member of the Southern Baptist faith and a homemaker, she died December 22, 2008.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Sammy) Bond of Wiggins, three sons, Jack (Paulette) Boulware of Lucedale, Ronnie (Janice) Boulware of Moss Point and Scott (Donna) Boulware of Lucedale; grandchildren, Stacey Bond, Angela Kinkope, Jackie Shackelford, Nick Boulware, Jason Boulware, Jeremy Boulware, Megan Boulware, Justin Boulware, Madison Boulware, Richard Bethany, Randall Dearman and Russell Dearman and great-grandchildren, Branden Knight, Harlee Knight, Jayden Kinkope, Kaleb Kinkope and Olivia Boulware.
Pallbearers were Jason Boulware, Jeremy Boulware, Justin Boulware, Nick Boulware, Brandon Knight and Gary Dickerson.

"Betty" Bowen of Bella Vista, AK; a sister Marie Killcrease of Shipman, three grandchildren, Bernadette Dykes, Chad Bowen and Haley Bowen, all of Richton; a great grandchild, Pexton Dykes of Richton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. "Bill" Bowen and a son, Benjamin Bearry "Ben" Bowen.
Interment was in the Sunset Cemetery with Rev. David Huffman officiating the services. Pallbearers were Billy Broome, Louie Ruffin, James Ray Newell, Jimmy Walters, David Dewitt and Ken McCaskill. Honorary pallbearer was Larry Willcutt.

She is survived by her parents, Ronald and Gwendolyn Bozeman of Lucedale; her grandparents, Mrs. Linda K. Estep of Lucedale; Larry and Mary Ann Dearth Burham of Apollo Beach, Fl. and Buford and Joan Parmer of Brandon, Fla.; and great grandparents, James and Selma Parmer of Tampa, Fla. and great grandmother, Edna Dearth of Riverview, Fla.
Conducting the services was Rev. Marshall McLeod. Arrangements were by George County Funeral Home.
Pallbearers included Buford G. Parmer, Jr., Jason E. Dearth, James R. Rollins and Shane N. Burnham.

CORTNEY BOZEMAN DIES IN FLORIDA
Little Cortney Bozeman, two year old Leukemia victim, died May 3 in Tampa, Fla., where she had been undergoing medical treatments for several weeks.
Funeral services are being scheduled for Saturday, May 9 at 11 a.m. Visitation at George County Funeral Home will be conducted on Friday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Cortney is the daughter of Scott and Gwen Bozeman of Lucedale. The family has been in Florida for several weeks for Cortney to take treatments at Moffitt Cancer Center. The youngster was diagnosed with leukemia last year.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at Serene Cemetery on Hwy 613 in Jackson County.
