He is survived by his wife; Lois Byrd- McLain, MS, son; Willard Dennis (Leigh) Byrd - McLain, MS, 2 daughters; Lisa Ann (Brian) Draughn -McLain, MS, Theresa (James) Sullivan- Columbia, TN, 2 sisters; Billie Nell (Mack) Kittrell State Line, MS, Omega Holley- Fort Worth, TX seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and numerous neices and nephews. A Wake will be held 6-10pm Friday, August 10, 2012 at Neely Methodist Protestant Church. Funeral Service will be 2pm Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Neely Methodist Protestant Church Neely MS. with interment at Buffalo Cemetery.

A carpenter, he died April 25 in Mobile, Ala. He was born May 30, 1959.
He is survived by his daughter Lauran Daphne Altman of Timmonsville, SC; granddaughters Vega Lee and Eden Guthrie; mother Mary L. (Hilbun) Byrd; sister Donna Byrd Alford and brother Jimmy Byrd of Franklin, N. C.
He was preceded in death by his father Donald F. Byrd.

Prentiss Davis, Baton Rouge, LA; niece, Brynn Sweetapple, Long Beach, MS; 2 nephews, Trey and Eaen Mason, both of Long Beach, MS; grandmother, Creola Jones, Prairieville, LA; and parents-in-law, RD and Annette Byrd, Lucedale, MS.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Byrd were held Saturday, October 5, 2013, at 1 PM, at the Crossroads Free Pentecostal Church in Lucedale, with Rev. Warren Slay, Rev. Mickey Middleton, and Rev. William R. Mills officiating. Burial followed in the Crossroads Free Pentecostal Church Cemetery.
Cale Byrd, Quinon Kelley, Don Davis, David Pipkins, Heath Steede, and Dustin Brewer served as Pallbearers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ford and Hassie Byrd; two brothers, Johnie Byrd and Ories Byrd.

She is survived by two daughters, Penny (Daniel) Nasiff of Wills Point, Texas and Lynn Holliman of Lucedale; two sons, Steven Holland and Phillip Holland, both of Lucedale; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brother, William Crawley of Benndale and sister, Molly Bounds of Lumberton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J. N. Crawley and Iona Reeves Parker; daughter, Doris Holland; two grandsons, Jessie Holland and David Allgood, Jr. and sister, Erma Dee Byrd.

A George County resident, he was a retired machine operator, Beat 5 supervisor of Jackson County, and an Army veteran, and was a member of the Baptist faith. He died May 6, 2003.
He is survived by wife, Shirley Byrd of Vancleave; three daughters, Gloria (Brian) Scamman of Porter, MI, Carol (Leigh) Cain of Perkinston, and Jean (Glen) Cain of Perkinston; one son, James (Katrina) Byrd of Lucedale; two sisters, Christine Byrd of Wiggins and Verdean Long of Victoria, TX; one brother, Leo (Michelle) Byrd of Lucedale; 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Interment was held in the Byrd Cemetery with Rev. Kenny Goff officiating the service.

She was a native of Wayne County, a homemaker and a member of the Dale View Baptist Church in Mobile, Ala. A resident of Lucedale, she died February 25 at Glen Oaks Nursing Center.
She is survived by four children, Maline Fischer of Pensacola, Fla., Ralph Byrd and Cranford Byrd both of Lucedale and Judy Miers of Old Hickory, Tenn.; one son-in-law, Oliver H. Fischer of Pensacola, Fla; three grandsons, Darrell Byrd of Mobile, William Byrd of Orlando, Fla., and Michael Miers of Nashville, Tenn. and six great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by one sister, Judy Heitz and one brother, Cranford Sikes, both of Chicago, Ill.
Interment was held at Rocky Creek Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Erkhart officiating.

She is survived by two daughters, Sylvia (Bill) Counselman of Ocala, Fla. and Marilyn Bounds of Lucedale; four sons, Ralph (Frances) Brown, Wayne (Vermell) Brown, E. Brownie (Arlene) Brown, all of Lucedale and Harold (Sue) Brown of Big Point; 18 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jason Brown, Darren Brown, Davis Counselman, Frankie Brown, Josh Murphy and Darryl Meadows.

Hillcrest Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, FORD Dewitt Byrd, and children, Ories and Johnny Byrd.
She is survived by two sons, Donald Byrd and Mary Byrd, Harlan D.and Alene Byrd, all of Lucedale, and 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Ollin Malone of Lucedale.
Funeral services were held May 14, 1997 at Sigler Funeral Home
Chapel, the Rev. Jerry Mixon, Jimmy Byrd and Dan Hembree officiated. Interment was held in Magnolia Cemetery with Sigler Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers included C. J. Mason, Bruce Byrd, DeWitt Byrd, Bobby Byrd, Bill Lee Tanner, Daniel Malone and Ed Malone.

Creek community, died May 10, 1997 in Lucedale, George Co., MS. Ford Dewitt Byrd was born February 3, 1903 in Basin community, died July 27, 1980 in Rocky Creek community.)

Obit: Funeral rites for Levi R. Byrd , 87, of Lucedale were held October 17 at 2 p.m. at Agricola Baptist Church.
Mr. Byrd died October 15, 1997 at his home following an extended
illness. He was a resident of Agricola and a member of Agricola
Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of Jones Junior College.
Survivors include three daughters, Mildred (Tom) Houston and Ann
Landrum, both of Mobile, AL.; Joyce Byrd of Agricola and one son
Timothy C. (Dinah) Byrd of Wilmer, AL. three grandchildren, Thomas Houston of Biloxi, Timothy S. (Given) Landrum of New Orleans and Susanne Byrd of Wilmer, AL.
Also surviving are three sisters, Pearl White of Runnelston, Annette Carpenter of Hattiesburg, Thelma Clepper of Petal and one brother, J. D. Byrd of Beaumont.
Services were conducted by Rev. Don Boone, Rev. Bryce Evans and
Rev. Scott Landrum. Interment was in the Agricola Cemetery with George County Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were J. M. Summers, Jimmy Vise, Charles W. Brown, Kent Brown, Terrill Barton, and Albert Summers. Honorary pallbearers were Jake White and Victor Clepper.

Also surviving are a brother, Buster Byrd of Hattiesburg and a sister, Laura Beauchamp of Gulfport.
Services were conducted by Rev. Maxie Moore and Rev. DeWayne Fallin. Interment was in the Pine Grove Cemetery with George County Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Billy Byrd, Richard McLeod, Roger Lambert, Connie Wilkerson, Danny Byrd and Carlos Fillingim.
