A supervisor at Lucedale Sportswear and a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church, she died December 3. She was born September 18, 1933.
She is survived by her sons Rodney Dickerson of Dothan, Ala., and Thomas H. Dickerson, Jr. of Lucedale; daughters Karen L. (Donnie) Capps of Lucedale and Deborah (Paul) Rogers of Ocean Springs; and grandchildren Rodney Dickerson, Jr., Courtney Dickerson, Scottie Vaughn, Dustin Vaughn, Chase Vaughn, Hunter Capps, D. J. Capps, Hannah Rogers and Mary Rogers.
She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas H. Dickerson, Sr., granddaughter Stephanie Brooke Dickerson, Parents Herman and Myrtle Mills, brother Herman Edgar Mills, Jr. and infant sister.
Pallbearers included Dusty Tanner, Joe Havard, Hollis Welford, Trey Mixon, Mike Eubanks and Phillip Welford.

Obit: On Feb 19, 1936, Clyde Leroy & Mattie Louise "Ratcliff " Whitaker were blessed with a beautiful baby girl, whom they named Wilma Wuadean. The only girl, who her brothers fondly nicknamed "Sook". She attended and graduated from Center Hill High School in Lauderdale Co., MS., where she was an avid basketball player and some what of a jokster. She could keep you laughing for hours with her stories of growing up and the mischeif she and her brothers would get into. She met Clarence Dickerson while he was in the Navy and after a very short engagement thay married and began their life together. Tom this union 5 children were born, Paul, Pam, Alan, Clif & Cyndi. Her final 2-1/2 years was spent at Oaks Nursing Home where she made many friends and became an expert in the game of Bingo. At the age of 72, she had the honor of meeting her Lord & Savior face to face when her sweet spirit left this world on December 29, 2009. Her final destination, Heaven, where her family & friends waited patiently for her arrival. The reunion was phenomenal. (By: her niece Lynn Ford.)

She was a native of Greene County, a resident of Lucedale, a housewife, and a member of the Holmes Baptist church. She died Sunday, January 2, 1994 at Glen Oaks Nursing Home following a long illness.
Survivors include, five children, Glenna Onte D. Churchwell, Chickasaw, Ala., Carolyn D. Eubanks, Shelton Dickerson and Rachel Smith, all of Bexley and Glen Porter, Dallas, TX.; two sisters, Maxine Gill, Mobile, Marion Wallace, Bexley; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Services were conducted by Rev. James Willis McInnis. Interment was in the Holmes Baptist Cemetery with Fails Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Dickerson was born in Lucedale, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry Mathis and Myrtle (McLeod) Mathis and her husband Gorthan H. Dickerson. She was a member of the Winborn Chapel Methodist Church in Greene County, MS and attended in the First United Methodist Church in Warner Robins. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, the Eastern Star and the Quilting Group at the Warner Robins Senior Citizens Center. Mrs. Dickerson had worked in fabrics for many years and retired as a sale clerk from Hancock Fabrics. The family of Mrs. Dickerson would like to take this time to thank all the nurses, the staff and the residents at Summerhill Nursing Home in Perry for the care which they gave to her. Survivors include her daughters Barbara Potter and husband Don of Warner Robins, Cindy Lucas Hutcheson and husband Wayne of Macon, grandsons Barry Lucas, Brian Lucas, Lee Potter and wife Dee Dee, great grandchildren Katelynn Potter, Julianne Potter, sisters May Dean Anderson of Lucedale, MS, Annie Lois Baxter of Dry Prong, LA, brothers Harold Mathis of Seemes, AL, David Mathis of Wilmer, AL, Floyd Mathis of Lucedale, MS, Lavelle Mathis of Lucedale, MS and many nieces and nephews.

He died July 9, 1992 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Jackson. He was a resident of Vinyard Acres, a World War II Navy veteran and served on the USS Alabama. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Elks Club, and was a retired Quality Inspector for the Sandia Laboratory.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine Irene Dick of Lucedale; two sons, Mike Carnley of Pocatello, Idaho and Mark Carnley of Brandon and five grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers, Jerome Dick of Spearville, Kan., and John Dick of Dodge City, Kan.; and a sister, Gertrude Dick of Spearville, Kan.
Father Louis Lohan officiated the Mass. Interment was in Magnolia Cemetery with Fails Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers included Jimmy Glenn Croom, Tommy Bates, David Bates, Darden Loper, Craig Konecny and Joel Brown.

A native of Pheba, he worked for years as an electrician at Ingalls Shipbuilding, Inc. in Pascagoula. He served as city alderman of Lucedale from 1979-1988, was a member of the Masonic Lodge, United Methodist Church, Shriners and the Rotary. While a resident of the Glen Oaks Nursing Center, he was elected as Mr. Glen Oaks and went to Jackson to participate in the MHCA Nursing Home Pageant where he was selected in the top ten in the state.
He is survived by three daughters, Dot (Jim) Parrish of Laurel, Cissy (Don) Larson of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and Jerrye Bracken of Lucedale; grandchildren, Mandy and Derck Brown of Orlando, Fla., Grey Parrish of Oxford, Tamara Parrish of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.. Sheridan and Eric Johnson of Lilburn, Ga., Shana and Jeff Taylor and Black Bracken, all of Lucedale.
Also surviving are four great grandchildren, Miles Brown of Orlando, Fla., Alex, Emily and Bianca Taylor, all of Lucedale.
Interment was held at Magnolia Cemetery with Rev. Chris Cumbest officiating.

He passed away July 28, 1992 after a lengthy illness, in Biloxi Regional Medical Center.
He is survived by two daughters, Marie McMillian of Biloxi; Betty Mair of Semmes, Ala.; one son, Jessie D. Dickson, Jr. of North Biloxi; one sister Essie Mitchell of Amory, 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Rev. Paul D. Aultman and Rev. Larry Havard officiated and interment was in Crossroads Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam DiBenedetto, sr. and Mary Jo Costanya DiBenedetto Alescia and two brothers, Sam DiBenedetto, Jr. and Frank DiBenedetto, all of Birmingham, Ala.

Obit: DICKERSON Sarah Aileen Woodard Dickerson, age 95 of Pascagoula, passed from this life on Monday, September 26, 2011 in Moss Point. She was born April 19, 1916 in George County, Mississippi. Mrs. Dickerson graduated from Rocky Creek High School. After finishing her education in Mobile she married James Walton Dickerson and they relocated to Pascagoula in 1945. She was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church of Pascagoula. Her family and her church were her life. She was a wonder-ful wife, mother and grand-mother. Mrs. Dickerson was preceded in death by her parents, Barton Alexander and Cynthia McInnis Woodard; husband, Walt Dickerson; sisters, Thelma Eubanks, Iris Kearley, Ann Hildreth and Mary and Helen Woodard; brothers, Guy Woodard, Roy Woodard, Harris Woodard, Ray Woodard, Evon Woodard and Palmer Woodard. Survivors include a son, James Walton "Jimmy" Dickerson and wife Tanya; daughter, Sandra Frederic and husband Kent; brother, William A. "Bill" Woodard and wife Sarah; grandchildren, Shane and Lisa Frederic, Dawn Frederic, Misti Guilotte, Tammy Dickerson; great-grandchildren, Drew and Lauren Frederic, Peyton Walker, Hugh Copeland and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, September 29, 2011 from 11:00am until 12:00pm at First Presbyterian Church in Pascagoula. Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm from the church with Rev. Matt Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow at Woodard Cemetery in George County, Mississippi. Pallbearers will be, Andy McLeod, Ray Woodard, Peyton Walker, Drew Frederic, Woodard Eubanks and Scott Byrd. Mr. William A. "Bill" Woodard will serve as honorary pallbearer. A member of the U.S. Army Reserve for 29 years and a veteran of Desert Storm, he died September 29 along with his wife, Jennifer Dickerson.
He is survived by his son, Richard Silas Daniel (Kerri) Dickerson of Vancleave; daughter, Yvette Lynn Dickerson (Ralph) Bellon of Vancleave; two grandchildren, Douglas David Daniel Dickerson and Dixie Lea Dickerson, both of Vancleave; sister, Linda Marie Dickerson Havard of Benndale; nephew Avis Lee (Lisa) Havard and their daughter, Crystal, all of Benndale.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Silas and Olive Gladys Irene Dickerson.

Obit: Funeral rites for Mrs. Doris M. Dickerson, 85, of Lucedale were held Tuesday, January 4 at 2 p.m. from Holmes Baptist Church.
She was a native of Greene County, a resident of Lucedale, a housewife, and a member of the Holmes Baptist church. She died Sunday, January 2, 1994 at Glen Oaks Nursing Home following a long illness.
Survivors include, five children, Glenna Onte D. Churchwell, Chickasaw, Ala., Carolyn D. Eubanks, Shelton Dickerson and Rachel Smith, all of Bexley and Glen Porter, Dallas, TX.; two sisters, Maxine Gill, Mobile, Marion Wallace, Bexley; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Services were conducted by Rev. James Willis McInnis. Interment was in the Holmes Baptist Cemetery with Fails Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers included Terrell Smith, Stanley Pruett, Glen Porter, Michael Eubanks, James Dickerson and Shelton Dickerson.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Nell Dickerson; two sons, Rodney Dickerson, Sr. of Dothan, Ala. and Thomas Harold Dickerson, Jr. of Lucedale; two daughters, Karen (Donald) Capps of Lucedale and Deborah (Paul) Rogers of Ocean Springs, nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a brother Gerald Dickerson of Gautier.
He was preceded in death by his parents, H. J. "Steve" and Mildred A. Dickerson.

A retired employee of the Mississippi Department of Transportation, he served in the Army during World War II in the Tunisia, French-Morocco, Naples, Rome, Northern France and Normandy campaigns. A member of the Baptist faith, he died March 26, 2008.
He is survived by four daughters, Barbara Dungan, Hilda Read and Lillian Williamson, all of Lucedale and Sarah Kenworthy of Worchester, Mass.; two sons David Dickerson of Lucedale and Randy Dickerson of Carrollton, Texas; twelve grandchildren, Tracey Dungan, John Read, Amy Littlefield, Leslie Bufkin, Phillip Dickerson, Erica Croom, Joshua Williamson, Ian Williamson, Reid Dickerson, Connor Dickerson, Rhonda Brewer and Greg Dickerson; ten great grandchildren, Hunter Bufkin, Alex Bufkin, Dylan Littlefield, Kaleb Littlefield, Emma Rose Croom, Courtney Dickerson, Alexis Dickerson, Emily Read, Damon Brewer and Garrett Brewer; and a sister, Nelda McLeod of Lucedale.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalind Barbara Dickerson.

(Elizabeth) Dickerson, both of Lucedale. Also, three granddaughters, Karen La June (Donnie) Capps and Katherine Amanda Dickerson, both of Lucedale, and Deborah Lynn (Paul) Rogers of Ocean Springs.
She was also survived by a host of grandchildren. Three grandsons, Rodney Alan Dickerson of Dothan, AL., Thomas Harold Dickerson, Jr. of Lucedale and Kristofer Alan (Aleka) Dickerson of Eureka, Calif. Six great grandsons Scottie (Renee) Vaughn, Dustin Archie (Alechia) Vaughn, Chase Matthew Vaughn and Rodney Alan Dickerson, Jr., Colton Vaughn and Dakota Vaughn; seven great granddaughters, Stephanie Brooke Dickerson, Courtney Dickerson, Hannah Lee Rogers, Mary Ella Rogers, Nazalin Dickerson, Samantha Vaughn and Skye Vaughn.
Pallbearers were Rodney Alan Dickerson, Donnie Capps, Dustin Vaughn, Scottie Vaughn, Kristofer Alan Dickerson and Chase Vaughn. George County Funeral Home was in charge of the service.

Dickerson, Ralph Dickerson and Richard Dickerson, all of Lucedale.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Revah Dickerson.
