McCarley Family Bible

This Bible contains the Old & New Testament together with the Apocrypha Translation from the Original Tongues.  Published by James A. Bill, #253 Market Street, Philadelphia,  The Bible is old - back off, pages ragged.  Present owner unknown.

John Washington McCarley was born August 8th 1831 and died November 14th 1896.

Sarah J. Nance was born September 18, 1834 and died September 28, 1899.

The said John Washington McCarley and Sarah J. Nance were united in marriage on November 3rd, 1853.

(Notation: Sarah J. Nance was the daughter of James Harvey and Ann Nance.  The Nance (Nantz) family was descended from Pompeous Reuben Nance (Nantz), Revolutionary patriot.)
