Amos McLain
RICHTON - Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. today at Jones & Son Funeral Home for Amos McLain, 51, of Richton, who died July 6, 2008, at Forrest General Hospital. Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery in Wayne County.
Mr. McLain was a welder and member of Bay City Freewill Baptist Church in Semmes, Ala. He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar McLain. Survivors include his wife, Jannis McLain of Richton; two sons, Amos "Brandon" McLain of Petal and Mark McLain of Richton; a daughter, Tracy McLain Shelby of Richton; his mother, Zelline McLain of Richton; a sister Margaret Stinson of Richton; three brothers, Tony McLain, Byron McLain and Burie Arthur McLain, all of Richton; and four grandchildren.

James N. McLain
Death came to James N. McLain, citizen of Beat Four of this county, at his home Monday night Sept. 29th, after an illness of about three months. He was 74. Mr. McLain was a farmer, and was widely connected. He is survived by his wife, a daughter, five sons, two sisters, and four brothers, and other relatives farther removed. Funeral services were held for him at Boyles Chapel Church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. W.E. Hutto in charge. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Freeman directing.

Owen McLain Sr.

Obituary - The Wayne County News
Funeral services for Owen W. McLain Sr., 73, were held Thursday, Sept. 29, 1988 from Freeman Chapel with the Rev. Aubrey Cook officiating. Burial followed in Boyles Chapel Cemetery. A resident of Route 1, Waynesboro, Mr. McLain was a road worker in the construction industry. He was a Baptist. He died Tuesday, Sept. 27, at Wayne General Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Daisy McLain of Waynesboro; five sons, Bobby McLain, Ike James McLain, Ray Dean McLain, and Jerry Wayne McLain, all of Waynesboro, and Micheal Wayne McLain of Pascagoula; six daughters, Beverly Dean Maxcey of Laurel, Sherry Ann Ezell of Waynesboro, Jeannette Hutchinson and Linda Cooley, both of Richton, Myrtle Davis of Shubuta, and Annette Anshultz of Biloxi; 23 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
