Obit: Effie Louise Davis, 80, of Mexico died at 1:20 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 1997, at Pin Oaks Nursing Center. Her body was cremated. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Mrs. Davis had lived in Mexico most of her adult life and was active in the Audrain County Historical Society. She was born Aug. 20, 1916, at Alexis, Ill., a daughter of Albert and Edna E. Downing Jones. On May 18, 1935, she married Roy McCall "Mac" Davis at Fulton. He preceded her in death on April 4, 1960. She is survived by five sons, Donnie Davis of Carlisle, Pa., Larry Davis of Newark, Calif., Wayne Davis of Atladena, Calif., Kenny Davis of Garden Grove, Calif., and Randy Davis of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one daughter, Sandra Davis of Columbia; 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; and one brother Charles Jones of Garland, Texas. She was also preceded in death by one brother, John "Buck" Jones and one sister, Betty Biggers. The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Audrain County Historical Society, 501 S. Muldrow, Mexico, Mo., 65265

Obit: Funeral services for Warren I. Duchesne, 416 W. Jackson, were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at the Precht-Pickering Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Park and the Rev. Lawrence Holzschuh officiating and burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Mrs. Ruth Koen was to be the organist. Asked to serve as pallbearers were Walter Smith, Russell Blair, Dan Henneberry, Jim Littrell, Raymond Blair, Ray Smith and Mark Hanley. Honorary pallbearers were Marlin Cahall, Tom McCord, Clyde Kotsenburg, John Hankins, Ben Johnson and Howard Summers.

Obit: Mrs. Donald Dudgeon, 29, of Kirksville, daughter of Mrs. Clarence Gray of this city, died at her home Tuesday morning. She had been ill for the past year as a result of injuries received in an auto accident. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Kirksville with burial in Mexico. The former Lillian Irene Gray, Mrs. Dudgeon, a former Mexico resident, is survived by her husband to whom she was married April 13, 1952; a son, Gary Gray, 2 1/2; her mother; and two sisters, Mrs. Herman Brundege of Mexico and Mrs. Wallace Cowherd of Benton City.
