Bates County, Missouri Genealogy Trails Bates County Brick Walls

| Hello: I am researching the Midkiff's of Missouri and have
found a B F Midkiff listed in Bates county. I'm not sure which Midkiff
family he belongs to but alas am at a loss where to search. My
grandfather was Henry Clay Midkiff and he had four brothers who landed
in MO along with him in 1860 from TN. I have only found two that
returned to TN where the others finally settled no one seems to know.
There was a Doctor David Midkiff who was in Cape Girardeau county in
1860(where did he go?) Robert Frank Midkiff landed in Dunklin couonty
had threee daughters Martha E. , Margaret, Nancy and a sone John B. He
Robert Frank was killed in the MO Militia. What happened to the
