Family Gathers at Old Home after Absence of
The children of John Woods Harris, the original
owner of the "Model Farm" located fourteen miles northwest of
Columbia, are gathering in Columbia this week for a family
Mrs. James Harris Rogers of Paris, Ky., Mrs. W.J.
Hendrick of New York City and John W. Harris of Las Vegas, N.M., are
staying at the Daniel Boone Tavern, visiting old friends in Columbia
and the scenes of their childhood.

Louis, another member of the family is expected to arrive in
Columbia today. The reunion will be held at the old home farm
the last of the week. The "Model Farm" was the winner of a
gold medal given by the United States Government many years ago for
the most beautiful, best located, best kept farm in Missouri.
The reunion is being held after an absence of the family from this
locality of forty-one years.
