THE SPECIAL ANGEL

 Dear Heavenly Father,
mere words cannot even begin to describe
the feeling deep inside my heart and mind today.

My heart aches with all of the memories it holds
of The Special Angel, You are taking away.

Yet, in my mind, I can visualize her standing there
at Your side, where she will always stay.

 But, Father, please grant me this one request;
I ask that You hear me, as I humbly pray.

You see, Dear Lord, I just want You to know
there is a reason for this short delay.

Before You take the greatest Aunt that ever lived,
I have just a few things I would like to say.

Aunt Ruth was so calm, quiet and gentle,
and always had compassionate words to say.

When she entered a room, the joy she had inside
would radiate into a spectacular array.

So, allow me one more glimpse of The Special Angel,
and Your love, that she could so proudly display.

I want to thank You, Dear Heavenly Father,
for this special blessing You have given me today -
just one last glimpse of Aunt Ruth, a Heavenly Angel,
before You gently lead her along the way.

Guide my footsteps, as I go through this life,
so I will someday join You both,
in Jesus' Name I pray.

Amen
