Bert Jackson Vaught, a
resident of Polo, Missouri for many years died unexpectedly at this home on
October 7, 1931 from complications causing heart failure.
Mr. Vaught was one of seven children born in Richmond, Virginia living there
until he was 19 years old. The family then moved to Missouri, leaving two
sisters there, already dead.
In 1904 he married Hattie E. Steward of Kansas City, Missouri. Later he
moved to Polo where he and his family have remained since.
Mr. Vaught leaves his wife and two children; Ruth M. Vaught and Michael S.
Vaught; also a mother and two brothers.
Funeral services were held at the home and burial was in the Lawson Cemetery,
Lawson, Missouri.

MURIEL S. VAUGHT
Was born in Peabody, KS to Clarence Milton and Clara Jane Swisher-Stepleton on
September 25,1908 and died May 28, 1994 in Hamilton, MO.
Muriel married Raymond Watson and to this marriage one daughter was born,
Betty Rae Watson. She later married Gilbert Orville Bayer and to this marriage
one daughter was born, Mary Jane Bayer.
Her third marriage was to Michael Vaught and to this marriage three children
were born, Beverly Lee Vaught, Joan Ruby Ellen Vaught and Bert Milton Vaught.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Betty Rae Mott. She is
survived by her brother, Ira Lee Stepleton, Penrose, CO., four daughters, Mary
Jane Doyle, Polo, MO, Ruby Williams, Kingston, MO, Beverly McCartney, Fort
Dodge, IA., and one son, Bud Vaught, Polo, MO., and 15 grandchildren.
Burial will be in the Prairie Ridge Cemetery, Polo, MO.
