Marriage Announcements

MARRIED. Rife--Allega.--On the 20th ult., by Rev. Thos. S. Allen, Mr. David Rife, of Carroll county, and Miss Mary Ann Allega, of Chariton co.
[Glasgow Weekly Times (Glasgow, Mo.) Thursday, April 3, 1856. Submitted by Kathy McDaniel]

We congratulate our friend J. P. Goodson upon having captured Miss Catron, one of Lafayette's most accomplished daughters, for a wife.  They were married last week at the residence of the bride's parents five miles southeast of Lexington.  We have no particulars of the wedding, but presume from the well known taste of the bride and groom, that the arrangements were faultless.
