Lyle C. Young, 86, Kansas City, MO passed away Sunday, December 9, 2007 after suffering from complications of heart disease. The memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 12th at One Spirit United Methodist Church, 7900 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64138. Friends may call at 10:00 am for visitation. Interment immediately following the service at Memorial Park in Kansas City, MO. Lyle was born December 15, 1920 in Cleveland, MO. He married Vivian LaVaun Lacy on October 10, 1944. They were life-long residents of the Raytown and Kansas City areas and were most fortunate to have recently celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary. Lyle will be remembered for his love of family, his kind smile and his talent for making life-long friends. Along with his wife, Lyle is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Donna Young; two grandsons, Ryan and Tyler Young and a host of friends and extended family. Lyle was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Don Alan. In lieu of flowers, monetary contributions may be made to the church at the address above in memory of Lyle Young.

William Dean Zimmerman, age 77 of Carrollton, Missouri, died December 28, 2007.  Dean was born the second son of John H. and Elise Margaret (Hinrichs) Zimmerman on February 10, 1930, on a farm one mile west of Triplett, Missouri. He attended Triplett Public School from 1936 through graduation in 1948. He became a member of the Triplett Christian Church in January, 1945. He attended Chillicothe Business College from 1948-1950 and then served in the U.S. Navy from 1950-1954. When he returned from the Navy, he worked in the traffic departments of the Burlington Railroad and the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad in Kansas City, Missouri, through 1964, when blindness forced an early retirement. He returned to Triplett in 1964-1969 and moved to the Lake of the Ozarks area until 1990 when he moved to Carrollton.  Dean was married to Mildred E. Hampton on July 12, 1959. She survives at the home. He is also survived by two daughters, Mary Ellen Hansson and her husband, Per, of Greensboro, NC, and Sarah Bahrs of Carrollton. Three grandsons survive: Ian and Bjorn Hansson, Greensboro, NC, and Zane Bahrs, Carrollton. Two sisters survive: Donna Ritzinger and husband Harold, and Wanda Littrell, all of Kansas City, MO, as well as five nieces and nephews, also of Kansas City.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Richard Zimmerman and Gary Zimmerman, one brother-in-law, Wilbur Littrell, and one nephew.
Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 31, 2007 at McCullough Cemetery, Triplett, Missouri, with Chaplain Chuck Miller officiating.  The family suggests contributions be made to the Gallatin Hospice in memory of Mr. Zimmerman.
