DANIEL P. INGRAM, Sheriff of Cass County, was born in. LaFayette County, Missouri, September 7, 1842. He was reared to manhood at his birthplace and received his education from the schools of that vicinity, following the occupation of farming. In 1871 he emigrated to Cass' County, Missouri, and embarked in agricultural pursuits, which he continued till he was elected to his present office in 1880. He is a member of the Masonic fraternity, of the Knights of Honor, also of the Order of Mutual Protection. Mr. I. belongs to the Presbyterian Church. He was married in January, 1866, to Miss Tobitha E. Thorp, a native of Tennessee. They have five children : Florence L., John W., Theodore E., Frank and Leslie. Mr. Ingram is a Democrat in politics, and always acts with that party. He is discharging his official duties in a manner highly commendable, and is a man well fitted for his position.
