Obit: Mrs Anna Darrah Died Monday - Splendid East Lynne Woman Dies of Heart Attack - Funeral Friday Afternoon The East Lynne community was shocked and saddened by the death of one of its dearest residents, Mrs. Anna Clark Dararah. Mrs. Darrah's body was found Monday evening, May 6, 1946, after a busy day's work, death being attributed to a heart attack. Anna Clark Darrah was born on a farm near East Lynne, March 26, 1875. She was married to Herman Thomas Darrah April 15, 1896. This this union nine children were born, all of whom survive. They are: George C, Independence; Mrs. Geneva Helm, who resides in California; James H, Kansas City; John T, Buffalo, New York; Aaron, Kansas City; Frank, San Diego, CA; Ralph, Kansas City; Mrs. Ruth Finch, Adams Run, SC; and Robert, Columbus, OH. Mr. Darrah, the father and husband, passed away in the fall of 1940. Mrs. Darrah has resided a number of years in East Lynne, where she was active in the work of the Methodist Church, and with the Order of the Eastern Star, holding office as chaplain at the time of her death. Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The pastor, Rev. Nelle Mitchell, will have charge, assisted by Rev. Charles R Swofford. Burial will be in the Clearfork Cemetery, with the Hartzler funeral services in charge. Mrs. Darrah, always cheerful and helpful, will be greatly missed not only by her dear family but by all that she came in contact with.
