BARR, MADGE
Word has been received of the tragic death of Madge Barr, 19, a former Augusta girl, who committed suicide a few days ago on her mother's grave at Chadwick, Mo.
Worry over school work, it is said probably was the cause of her act.
Madge Barr was the third daughter of david Barr, who moved from Augusta to Missouri about five years ago.
Her mother has been dead for three years and Madge was at the head of the family, keeping house and attending schoo, preparing to teach.
Madge told one of the younger children she was going to town. Instead she went to the cemetery and with her brother's revolver shot herself at her mother's grave.
The body was not found for two days.
