BIBLE RECORDS
Note from Mrs. Robertson:

Edward Robertson Sr. (1753-1848) pioneered to the Missouri Territory from the State of Kentucky about 1816.  He and his family lived in Cole's Fort, located i n what is now Cooper County, for protection from the Indians.  In our search for proof that John Robertson (1776-1876) was the  great-great-grandfather of my husband, a descendant of Andrew Robertson furnished me with the following Bible records of Edward Sr's family.


Editor's Note:  The data which Mrs. Robertson received includes three  records:


"Exact Copy of Robertson Family Bible Record", "Exact Copy of Loose Pages inserted in Roberts on Family Bible", and "Data from Robertson
Family Bible, arranged by Families".  This data was compiled by Mrs. H.C. Neef and Mrs. Charles A. Wals, both Boonville, Mo, in 1938, from the Robertson Family Bible, then in the possession of Mr. Warner Robertson of Boonville, Mo. This date is confusing, due to major contradictions in the birthdates, given in various place s among the three records, for Andrew Robertson- 1774, 1794, and 1797.  From the probate records of  Edward Jr (d. Mar 1848, predeceasing his father) and of Edward Sr (d. Apr 1848), it would seem that Andrew was definitely a son of Edward Sr.  And, from the record of Edward Sr' s "eldest son", John, being born in  1776 and the "second son", Charles, being born in 1779, i t would seem most likely that Andrew was born in one of the 1790 given years. One
thing is certain, Andrew had three marriages:  first in 1814 to Hannah Phillips (1776/96-1826); second in 1829 to Catharine Shirley (1800-1847); and third in 1851/5 7 to a widow, Merinda (Duncan) Winsor (1814-?), who had six children from her previous marriage.
