Obit: --Died.  Thos. J. Boggs, formerly of Boonville, died in Sonora, California, on October 13.  He was a lawyer by profession, and much esteemed by all who enjoyed his acquaintance.

Obit:   Mrs. Harvey Bunce Dead.  --The death on Tuesday, of Mrs. Harvey Bunce, one of the old landmarks of Boonville, and a distant relative of Governor Stephen's family was deeply regretted by a large circle of friends and relatives, who loved the dear old lady who had been both friend and mother, in the years that are gone.
Mrs. Abiel Leonard and daughter, Margaret, left Wednesday for Boonville to attend the funeral which took place on Wednesday.

Obit: Leona Butler, 63, of Columbia died Friday, April 7, 1989, at UMC Hospital and Clinics.  Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Bethel A.M.E. Church in Speed with the Rev. Carl Lockett officiating.  Burial will be in the Speed Cemetery.  Visitation will be form noon to 8 p.m. tomorrow at H. T. May Funeral Home in Boonville.  The family will receive friends from 7 to 8.  Mrs. Butler was born Nov. 13, 1925, in Bunceton to Elizabeth Hickman.  She was a cook at the Alpha Kappa Omega sorority house and a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Bunceton.  Surviving are her husband, John Butler of Columbia; a daughter, Kay Francis Drew of Kansas City; three sons, Kenneth Butler of Columbia, and Leonard Crump and Michael Crump, both of Denver, Colo.; a sister Willie Hildred Blackman of Denver, Colo.; and a brother, Phillip Allen Warrick of Columbia.  Her mother preceded her in death.
