Ezra Murl McCreery, 74, Excelsior Springs, formerly of Boonville, died Wednesday at the Liberty Hospital.  He was born in Stoutsville, Mo., and had lived in this area 21 years.  Mr. McCreery was a train dispatcher for the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad Company before he retired in 1946.  He was manager of the Ranger Court Motel in Excelsior Springs and operator of the P. G. Store, a novelty shop in Excelsior Springs.  He leaves his wife, Mrs. Pauline McCreery of the home; three sons, P. B. McCreery, 7038 Dearborn, Overland Park, Loyd McCreery of the home, and R. L. McCreery, 6415 N. Waldron, Gladstone; a daughter, Mrs. Merline Sharp , Liberty; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Church-Archer Chapel, Liberty, burial in Glenridge Cemetery, Liberty.  Friends may call from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Friday at the chapel.

Obit: Pauline (Thornton) McCreery of Excelsior Springs, formerly of Boonville, went to be with her Lord Saturday, June 7, 2008.  She would have turned 101 on Tuesday, June 10, 2008.  Services will be Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Polley Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 9 to 10.

Obit: Presley Beuford McCreery, 72, Pilot Grove, MO, passed away Saturday, May 24, 1997, at Cooper County Memorial Hospital, Boonville.  Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, at Meisenheimer Funeral Chapel, Pilot Grove, with Rev. Todd Laughlin officiating; burial in Pilot Grove Cemetery.  Mr. Thornton was born September 17, 1924, in Pilot Grove, MO, son of Ezra Murl and Pauline Thornton McCreery.  On May 6, 1943, he was married to Marjorie Tally, who survives of the home.  Mr. McCreery worked for the Katy Railroad in Pilot Grove and moved to Kansas City, working for the Missouri Pacific Railroad until his retirement in 1984.  He worked for the railroad for 39 years.  He was a member of the Boonville Fraternal Order of Eagles.  He was an Army Air Force veteran of  World War II.  survivors include 3 daughters, Charlotte Goyer & Kathy Bousman, both of Lenexa, KS, & Carol Hulse, Shawnee, KS; 3 sons, Richard McCreey, Merriam, KS, Robert McCreery, Overland Park, KS, & Ray McCreery, Shawnee, KS; sister, Merline Sharp, Liberty. MO; brother, Robert McCreery, Excelsior Springs, MO; his mother, Pauline McCreery, Excelsior Springs, MO; 8 grandchildren & 4 great- grandchildren.
