Rosie Lee Stricklin Calder, 84, of Steelville, Missouri She was born August 20, 1923 to Autta and Hettie (Dotson) Chandler. She passed away Sunday, January 13, 2008 at the Phelps County Regional Center in Rolla, Missouri.
    On
April 24, 1941, she was united in marriage to Lawrence Lindell Stricklin who preceded her in death on October 5, 1991. On December 7, 1998, she was also united in marriage to Bill Calder who preceded her in death on April 1, 2006.
    Rosie had attended the
Coffee Community Church outside Steelville when health permitted and enjoyed watching the television evangelists.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; two sons, Charlie and Eugene Stricklin; one daughter, Verla Mae Stricklin; three brothers, Norman Chandler, Don Chandler and Montie Chandler; two sisters, Donna Fay Wilhite and Marie Jelinek; one daughter-in-law Maxine Stricklin and three brothers-in-law Gene Dicus, Elmer Pyatt and Frank Jelinek.
    She is survived by five sons, Jerry Stricklin and wife Lisa of Edgar Springs, Missouri, Donnie “Hollywood” Stricklin and wife Mary, Jimmy Stricklin and Paul Stricklin, all of Cherryville, Missouri and Ronnie Stricklin of Steelville, Missouri; five daughters, Alberta Lynch and husband Jim of Venice, California, Ruby Garton and husband Bennie of Apple Valley, California, Brenda Blocker and husband Gene of LeMoore, California, Janet Vriese and husband Roy of Las Vegas, Nevada and Velma Plementosh of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; four sisters, Lottie Holland and husband Ernest and Betty Coplin and husband Don, all of Cuba, Missouri, Geraldine Dicus of Steelville, Missouri and Bertha Carrick and husband Fred of Cherryville, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Fay Chandler of Cuba, Missouri and Etta Chandler of Steelville, Missouri; 23 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
    Funeral services were held at
1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Gene Blocker officiating. Special music of “In the Garden”, “Shall We Gather At the River” and “If We Never Meet Again This Side of Heavin” were played.
    Casketbearers were Hollywood Stricklin, Paul Stricklin, Ricky Hogan, Dan Halbert, Jimmy Stricklin and Arthur O’Brian Committal prayer and burial were in the
Pump Cemetery at Neals Creek in Bixby, Missouri.

Anthony Gilbert West was born in St. Louis, Missouri, May 19, 1926 to Raymond and Minerva West.
    He passed away
January 11, 2008 at the age of 81 years, 8 months and 2 days. He married Shirley Marie Port on August 1, 1950 and married her again on March 14, 2007. Out of this union three children were born.
    He was a Christian and a member of the
Cherryville First Baptist Church. He served his country in World War II as a member of the Army Infantry with duty overseas in the European Theatre. He received the Victory and M1 Sharpshooter Medals. He was honorably discharged in 1946.
    He is survived by his wife of 57 years, of Salem; son, Charles Anthony and wife Laura West of Farmington, Missouri; daughters, Susan Marie and husband Kevin Bolin of St. Clair, Missouri and April Christine and husband Larry Green of St. Clair, Missouri; six grandchildren, Sherry Lynn and husband Kent Kamp of Farmington, Missouri, Renee Sue and husband, Jim Johnson of Farmington, Missouri, Gabriel Anthony Downey and wife Stephanie of St. Clair, Missouri, Katrina Marie and husband Justin Mcklendin of Sullivan, Missouri, Cassie Amber and husband Charlie Stumborg of Union, Missouri, Jessee Tyler Green and wife Misty of Center Point, Iowa; eight great grandchildren, Erin and Elly Casey, Izik, Lillian, Halee and Marc Downey, Zane and Mason Mcklendin; one sister, Virginia Alice and husband George Meyer of Richland, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
    Funeral services were held at
12 p.m. on Monday, January 14, 2008 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Harry White officiating. Special music of “Camping in Canaan’s Land” and “In the Garden” were sung by Velma and Stanley Martin with Stanley Martin accompanying on guitar. A special poem was read by Susan Bolin.
    Casketbearers were Gabe Downey, Jessee Green, Kevin Casey, Jim Johnson, Charlie Stumborg and Kevin Bolin. Music of “Amazing Grace” was sung by Virginia Meyer at the graveside. Committal prayer and burial were in the
Cherryville Baptist Church Cemetery in Cherryville, Missouri.

Thomas “Tom” D. Sagel of Cuba, Missouri was born Monday, June 28, 1948 at Cuba, Missouri to the union of Timothy and Mary (nee Birmingham) Sagel and passed away Saturday, January 19, 2008 in Cuba, Missouri at the age of 59 years, 6 months and 21 days.
    Tom worked 33+ years as a labor for Lyn-Flex West in
Owensville, Missouri. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church for many years, a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus member of Cuba and was a Boy Scout Leader of many years in the Cuba area.
    Tom worked at many of the Holy Cross fundraisers and bar-b-qued for the Knights many times over the years. He enjoyed racing, floating the river on a hot sunny days, raising his own garden, hunting, fishing and raising coon dogs.
    He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Bernard Sagel; other relatives and friends.
    He is survived by his mother, of Cuba, Missouri; five brothers, Phillip and wife Lois Sagel of Newburg, Missouri, Albert and wife Betty Sagel of Cuba, Missouri, Steve and wife Sue of the state of California, Paul Sagel and Edward and wife Terry Sagel, all of Cuba, Missouri; four sisters, Margaret Hoke of Bourbon, Missouri, Theresa and husband Steve DePau of the state of North Dakota, Elizabeth “Betty” and husband Butch Garner of Jacksonville, Florida and Alice Rodriquez of St. Louis, Missouri; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Monday, January 21, 2008 from 5-8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Wake Service at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri.

10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father James Finder as the celebrant.

 Kenneth J. “Uncle Ken” LaBryer of Bourbon, Missouri, was born on February 21, 1952 to Charles Kenneth and Melba Aileene (nee Harper) LaBryer.  He passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2008 at the age of 55 years.
    He honorably served his country as a Marine. Ken loved to fish, play the guitar, and sing karaoke. He enjoyed waiting tables at Bourbon Street Bar and had a way of turning customers into friends.
    He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Edward LaBryer.
    He is survived by four children, Kenneth, Kelly and Kerry LaBryer, all of North Dakota and Delicia, of Germany; sisters, Aileene White and husband Bill of Colorado, Barbara Barton and husband Bob of Rolla, Missouri, Betty Blankenship of Bourbon, Missouri, Diane Johnson and husband Clifford of Kentucky, and Callie Eckelkamp and husband David of Union, Missouri; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
    Funeral Services for Kenneth LaBryer were conducted at
11 a.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2008, at the Chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with Michael Delashmit officiating. Full military honors were presented at National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks, Missouri.
    All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home.

 

Kevin Paul Killeen of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Paul E. and Barbara A. (Caldwell) Killeen on September 11, 1956 in Rolla, Missouri and passed away Thursday, January 17, 2008 in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 51 years, 4 months and 6 days.
    Kevin was united in marriage to Sandy O’Leary on
September 8, 1979 in St. James, Missouri and to this union two children were born.
    He was a driver for I-44 Express Trucking Company and attended Amazing Grace Fellowship Church of Cuba. In his spare time he enjoyed motorcycles, Corvettes, NASCAR Racing, old time Rock-n-Roll but what he enjoyed most in life was his family.
    He never met a stranger and was friends with everyone. He had a magnetic personality and was a great storyteller, although his stories usually would include his opinion and his own sense of humor. His garage at home, was always open to friends to bring their motorcycles for adjustments, repairs and friendship.
    He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Joseph and Mabel Killeen and Max and Julia Caldwell.
    He is survived by his wife, Sandy Killeen; one son, Matt Killeen; one daughter, Mandy Killeen; his mother; three brothers, Kenny and wife Carleen Killeen, Gary and wife Vicky Killeen, Roger and wife Madeleine Killeen; two grandchildren, Kyle Killeen and Ayden Lorenz; father and mother-in-law, Louis “Bud” and Mary O’Leary all of Cuba, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Connie and husband Ron Henschen of New Melle, Missouri and Barbara and husband Gary Pate of O’Fallon, Missouri; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews other relatives and friends.    Visitation was

   Olive Adell Feeler was born on July 7, 1915 in Vichy, Missouri to her parents, Jeremiah and Mamie (Hart) Hodge. She passed away on Friday, January 18, 2008 at Rolla, Missouri. She was 92 years and 6 months of age.
    She was united in marriage to Herbert E. “Hub” Feeler on
December 23, 1932 in Rolla, Missouri.
    Olive was very good homemaker. She and her husband were lifelong residents of the
Vichy community. She moved to the farm where she lives now in 1933 and lived there ever since. They owned and operated the original family farm that has been in the family since 1865 when Hub’s grandfather Archibald purchased it from the government. The original patent signed by President Clarence Buchanan still remains in the family’s archives. She loved to garden and flowers.
    She attended the
Nazarene Church in St. Louis during her childhood days. Later she attended the Vichy Community Church for many years.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Alma A. Feeler; one brother, Chalmer Hodge; and two sisters, Miza
Berry and Minnie Atwell.
    She is survived by three sons, T.J. Feeler and wife Lynn of Sikeston, Missouri, Norman Feeler and wife JoAnn of St. James, Missouri, and Warren Feeler and wife Joyce of Fenton, Missouri; one brother, Gerald Hodge of South Carolina; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
    Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri
    Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 20, 2008 at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri with Marty Moreland officiating. Burial in the family plot in the
Ozark Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Rolla, Missouri.
    Pallbearers were Beth Varvil, Kevin Feeler, Stephanie Meurer, Lisa Ubben, Scott Feeler, and Kerry Feeler.
    Music was provided by Marty Moreland, vocalist and Dorothy Daniels organist.

Charlene Dee Buchanan, 37, of Steelville, Missouri was born May 21, 1970 in Los Angeles, California to Charles William and Nora Lee (Aldridge) Buchanan. She passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
    Charlene worked for Quantum Leap Sky Diving in
Sullivan, Missouri. She had attended New Testament Baptist Church in Sullivan, Missouri. She loved the outdoors whether hiking, four-wheeling, horseback riding or fishing or just enjoying wildlife and nature.
     She is survived by one son, Trevor Lee Austin Buchanan of Steelville, Missouri; two daughters, Ashley Nicole Buchanan and fiancé Matt Garrison and Shayna Renee Buchanan all of Steelville, Missouri; her parents; her fiance’, Bill Taber of Steelville, Missouri; two brothers, William Lee Buchanan and wife Jean of Bourbon, Missouri and Dean Buchanan and wife Shelly of Cuba, Missouri.
    Memorial service was held at
3 p.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Pastor Tina Lawence officiating. Four poems were read, one by daughter, Ashley Buchanan, another read by a cousin, Angela Jennnings and written by a cousin, Cassandra Jennings and the other two were read by Pastor Tina Lawence. Special music of “Angels,” “I’ll Be Watching You” and “I Won’t Forget You” were played during the service.

William (Bill) Charles Bisso, Sr. of St. James, Missouri was born on December 4, 1920 in St. Louis, Missouri to his parents, William W. and Mary Elizabeth (Cook) Bisso. He passed away at his home on Sunday, January 13, 2008. He was 87 years, 1 month, and 9 days of age.
     He was united in marriage to Julia Ladi on
March 23, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri.
    William was retired from Metro, formerly Bi-State Transit Company. He started in 1952 as a streetcar conductor, then as a bus driver and dispatcher before retiring after 32 years. He was a veteran of World War II. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1938 and served in the
North Atlantic on convoy duty prior to America’s entry into the war. His service continued in the Carribbean, Panama Canal Zone and in the Pacific.
    William was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Joseph P. Bisso.
    He is survived by his wife of the home; four sons, William C. Bisso Jr. and wife Linda of St. James, Missouri, Robert J. Bisso and wife Brenda of St. Louis, Missouri, Thomas M. Bisso of St. James, Missouri, Kenneth E. Bisso and wife Florence of St. Louis, Missouri; one brother, James A. Bisso and wife of Collinsville, Illinois; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
    Visitation was held from
noon until time of service on Saturday, January 19, 2008.
    A memorial service was held at
2 p.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri with Pastor Craig Rippy officiating.

Paul Stanley “Sonny” Baum of Salem, Missouri was born Tuesday, September 12, 1939 at Salem, Missouri to the union of Stanley Lee and Della Mae (nee Maledy) Baum and passed away Saturday, January 19, 2008 at Salem, Missouri at the age of 68 years, 4 months and 7 days.
    Paul “Sonny” worked for Amax Lead Mines from the 1970’s until 1987 as a Mill Control Operator and from late 1987 until 2001 he worked for Wal-Mart, first at the Rolla Wal-Mart and he then retired from the Salem Wal-Mart store. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching all professional and college sports and old western movies, but what he enjoyed most was spending time with family.
    He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, aunts and uncles other relatives and friends.
    He is survived by his mother, of Salem, Missouri; one daughter, Tiffany Baum of Carrollton, Missouri; one brother, Robert and wife Charlotte Baum of Lebanon, Missouri; one nephew, Curtis and wife Sandi Baum of Quincy, Illinois; one niece, Melynnia and husband Jack Plakenhorn of Monroe, Washington; two great nieces, Kayla Baum of Cuba, Missouri and Brittney Plakenhorn of Monroe, Washington; other relatives and  friends.

Tuesday, January 22, 2008 from 1-3 p.m. at the Second Baptist Church, Salem, Missouri.

3:30 p.m. at the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Salem, Missouri with Pastor Larry Nash and Lesa Mizell officiating

  Margaret Elsie Lally, 90, of St. Louis, Missouri, was born May 3, 1917 to Charles Alfred and Elsie Minnie Pearl (Bangert) Spencer.   She passed away Saturday, January 5, 2008 at her home in St. Louis, Missouri.
    On
August 16, 1941, she was united in marriage to John G. (Jack) Lally.
    She was preceded in death by one brother Charles Bangert Spencer.
     She is survived by her husband of 66 years of the home; three daughters, Susan Weiss and husband Rudi, Patricia Platt and husband Ron, all of St. Louis, Missouri and Kathleen Rohr and companion Nancy Freeman of St. Joseph, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Lillian Spencer and Florence Lally; five grandchildren, Rebecca Hughes and husband Patrick, Jessica Platt, Gregory Rohr and wife Kari, Kelly Anne Rohr, Adrianne Rohr; five great grandchildren and one step great grandchild; nieces and nephews, Frank Spencer, David Spencer, Janet Spencer; one great niece, Jenna Spencer; other relatives and friends.

1 p.m. on Monday, January 7, 2008 at the Steelville Cemetery with Bill Bennett officiating. A letter by Rebecca Hughes, a granddaughter, was read to her grandmother. Family and friends joined in to sing “This Is My Father’s World.”

Steelville Cemetery at Steelville, Missouri.

Samuel Lee Halbert, 34, of Steelville, Missouri was born November 21, 1973 in Rolla, Missouri to Ken and Elizabeth (Callahan) Halbert.  He passed away Friday, January 4, 2008 in Steelville, Missouri.
    On
May 3, 1997, he was united in marriage to Sara (Wallis) Halbert.
    Sam worked in the family business at Halbert Construction in Steelville. He was a member of the Straightway Baptist Church of Steelville where he was the music director. Sam along with Sara helped with the youth of the church. He enjoyed playing softball, deer hunting and most of all being with his family.
    He was preceded in death by his grandfather, B.L. “Doc” Halbert; his grandparents, Fred and Margaret Callahan; mother-in-law Peggy Wallis, grandparents-in-law, Andy and Gladys Wallis and William Fields.
    He is survived by his wife of the home; one son, Samuel Halbert; two daughters, Peggy and Natalie Halbert; four brothers, Scott Halbert and wife Rhonda of Cuba, Missouri, Joe Halbert and wife Kira of Steelville, Missouri, John Halbert and wife Teresa of Davisville, Missouri and Rick Halbert and wife Kendra of North Pole, Alaska; two sisters, Paula McGinnis and husband David of Steelville, Missouri and Lila Halbert of Viburnum, Missouri; his parents, Ken and Elizabeth Halbert of Steelville, Missouri; grandmother, Ina Halbert of Steelville, Missouri; special friend, Matt Altom.

Mike Cooper on guitar and Patsy Cooper on piano.
    Casket bearers were Joe Gray, Cliff Green, Tim Spoonover, Andy Keymann, Randy Lewis and Les Young. Honorary Casket Bearers were Johnny Halbert, Scott Halbert and Joe Halbert. Committal scripture and prayer were given by Rev. Kevin Farr. Burial was in the
Straightway Baptist Church Cemetery at Steelville, Missouri.

 Drake Bradley Fey was born on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Michael A. Fey, Jr. and Stephanie Lorenz and passed away Sunday, January 13, 2008 at the age of 3 months and 11 days.
    Drake was preceded in death by his great grandmother Ida Corrina Wilson and great grandfather Leonard Hodges.

Gilbert Wayne Davis, 82, of Steelville, Missouri, was born May 29, 1925 in Davisville, Missouri to Roy and Fannie (Martin) Davis.   He passed away Saturday, January 5, 2008 at the Missouri Veterans Home in St. James, Missouri.
    On
January 13, 1944 he was united in marriage to Ina (Harris) Davis.
    Gilbert was one of the founders and an active member of the
Midland Pentecostal Assembly Church and had donated the land for the church. He had served on the church board and was song leader for many years. When his health permitted, Gilbert was very active in the community as a member of the Cattleman’s Association, representative for the Agricultural Soil Conservation Service, honored as “Outstanding Farmer of the year in 1976”, and was involved in the committee for the Republican Party for Crawford County. He had served our country in the United States Army during World War II.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, three children, Barbara Sue Harper, Gilbert Edgar Davis and Phillip Alan Davis; two sisters, Hazel Gibbs and husband Ray, Nerene McGlasson and husband Bruce; four brothers, Glen Davis and wife Virginia, Max Davis, two brothers-in-law, Treffie Adams and Vincel Cottrell, four sisters-in-law, Ina Davis, Agnes Davis, Violet Hewkin and Mildred Turnbough and husband Cletus.
    He is survived by his wife of 63 years of the home; daughter, Darlene Turner and husband Ron of Rolla, Missouri; two sisters, Hilma Adams of Linn, Missouri and JoAnn Crabtree and husband Bob of Bourbon, Missouri; two brothers, Louis Davis of Steelville, Missouri and Jack Davis of Herculaneum, Missouri; one son-in-law and two daughters-in-law, Charles and Donna Harper and Mary Davis all of Steelville, Missouri; three sisters-in-law, Aileen Cottrell and Betty Martin and husband Jim, all of Steelville, Missouri and Bonnie Barton of Davisville, Missouri; three brothers-in-law, Herman Hewkin of Davisville, Missouri, Thomas Harris and wife Alma of Viburnum, Missouri and Bernard Harris of St. Louis, Missouri; 10 grandchildren, Regina Slovensky and husband Tom, Tami Richardson and husband Chris, Tim Davis, Tina Forester and husband Bryan, Rita Eaton and husband Joe, Mike Davis and wife Carol, Tonya Embry and husband Mark, Becky Barton and husband Chad, Stephen Harper and wife Tammy and Erin Harmon and husband Robert; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; other relatives and friends.
    Funeral services were held at
1 p.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Don Mitchell officiating. Special music of “We Shall See the King,” was sung by the grandchildren and great-grandchildren with Regina Slovensky accompanying on piano. Other special music of “When I Make My Last Move” and “I’ll Meet You on the Other Side of Jordan” was sung by Don Turnbough and Perry Barton accompanied on piano by Bonnie Barton.
    Casketbearers were Keith Martin, Tim Davis, Mike Davis, Stephen Harper, Mark Embry and Cyrus Slovensky. Committal prayer and burial were in the
Steelville Cemetery.
    Arrangements were under the direction of the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville,
Missouri.

 

 Hadley David Moses Sr. was born November 21, 1945 at St. Albans, Missouri to Clarence and Louise (Blair) Moses and he passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at the Presbyterian Hospital at the age of 62 years, 1 month and 11 days.
    Hadley, formerly of
Washington County, Missouri had made his home in the west for several years.
    He spent part of his working years at General Motors of St. Louis, Missouri and several years as a welder; before becoming disabled. He was a avid singer, musician, fisherman, artist and cook.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, George Herman Moses, Celeatis Moses and Carl Moses.
    He is survived by five sons, Richard Young of Salem, Missouri, Wesley Young and wife Cindy of Ironton, Missouri, Paul Todd and wife Nicole of Viburnum, Missouri, Dewayne Moses and wife Nicole of Chester, Illinois and Hadley Jr. of St. Mary, Missouri; two daughters, Stacy Hall and husband Mike of Swansea, Illinois and Susan Ehrenreich and husband John of Perryville, Missouri; one step daughter, Patty Wisdom; 12 grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Mary Moses of Collinsville, Illinois and Linda Moses of Park Hills, Missouri;
    Three brothers, Harold Moses and wife Pauline of Belleville, Illinois, Auzzie Moses and wife Nina of Steelville, Missouri and Kenneth Moses and wife Kim of Wright City, Missouri; five sisters, Iria Jean Barnhart and husband Jack of Hagerman, Idaho, Naomi Mitchell and husband Albert of Beaufort, Missouri, Ruby Haffer and husband Dale of Steelville, Missouri, Phyllis Cashion of Senath, Maryland and Cheryl Taggart and husband Steve of Bennett, Colorado.
    Memorial service will be at a later date in
Missouri with interment at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery.

Betty Jean McCormick of Cuba, Missouri formerly of Springfield, Missouri was born to the union of George Edward and Myrtle Ann (DeGonia) Hood on June 16, 1934 in Morse Mill, Missouri and passed away Friday, January 4, 2008 in Cuba, Missouri at the age of 73 years, 6 months and 19 days.
    Betty was a homemaker and enjoyed playing Keno, bingo, spending time on the computer, watching TBN and making crafts.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald McCormick; three, brothers James and Nelson Hood and Thomas Kriner; one sister, Edna Mae Manly.
      She is survived by one son, Garry and wife Kathy McCormick of Cuba, Missouri; one daughter, Donna Stricklin of Springfield, Missouri; one sister, Georgiann McGinnis of Rolla, Missouri; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
    Visitation was held
Tuesday, January 8, 2008 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri. Funeral was Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at 1 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Knight, officiating.
    Interment in
St. James Cemetery, St. James, Missouri.

Edna Marie Long was born June 8, 1917 at Bloomfield, Missouri to Veda (Martin) Robinson and James Ernest Robinson.
    She passed away
December 24, 2007 at the age of 90 years, 6 months and 16 days at the Golden Living Center in Bloomfield, Missouri.
    She was united in marriage to Theron C. Long on
June 8, 1935 on her 18th birthday and to this union 12 children were born.
    Edna was a faithful member of over 70 years at St. Joe General Baptist Church in
Idalia, Missouri where she taught Sunday school class and was active in Violet Jones Circle and was a “Secret Pal.”
    She was a great cook and always looked out for neighbor kids and those less fortunate. She made lots of quilts throughout her lifetime.  She won many ribbons when she entered her quilts in shows.
    She was preceded in death by one son, John Albert Long; two daughters, Shirley Jolene Angel and Linda Joyce Courtemanche; one son-in-law, Smokey Heilman; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Long; two sisters, Vergie Robinson and Edith Corbin.
    She is survived by her husband; nine children, Theron Cleveland (Marg) Long of O’Fallon, Missouri, Shannon J. Heilman of Bloomfield, Missouri, Sandra Jean (James) Mowry of Cherryville, Missouri, Robert Lee Long of Granite City, Illinois, Daniel Michael Long of Bloomfield, Missouri, William Ernest (Carol) Long of Bloomfield, Missouri, Darrol Kent (Linda) Long of Bloomfield, Missouri, Patricia Ann (Dennis) Charest of St. Louis, Missouri, Robin Craig Long of Bloomfield, Missouri; 35 grandchildren; great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Wamble and one brother, James Robinson,  both of Dexter, Missouri.
    Visitation was
Friday, December 28, 2007 from 5-8 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri.
    Funeral service was at
10 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2007 at the Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Sitze officiating.

 

Rose Margaret Gelven of Sullivan, Missouri formerly of Warrenton, Missouri was born to the union of Joseph and Margaret Minnie (Riechardt) Rosemann on April 28, 1927 in St. Louis, Missouri and passed away Sunday, December 30, 2007 in Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 80 years, 8 months and 2 days.
    Rose was united in marriage to Nelson Gelven.
    She retired as a Lithographer from Letter Head and Check Corp. in
St. Louis, Missouri after many years of service. She enjoyed playing cards, sewing, painting, planting flowers in her garden and singing. She was a former parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Warrenton, Missouri.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Bernard, Harold and Julius Rosemann; one sister, Marie Chancellor; three brothers-in-law, Ray Klien, John Winkeler and Charles Carmichael.
    She is survived by four sisters, Frances and husband Melvin Keeven of Leasburg, Missouri, Dorothy Klien of Michigan, Theresa Winkeler of St. Louis, Missouri, Catherine Carmichael of Phoenix, Arizona; five brothers, Walter and wife Lucille Rosemann of St. Charles, Missouri, Elmer and wife JoAnn Rosemann of Memphis, Tennessee, Joseph and wife Dorothy Rosemann of St. Louis, Missouri, Leroy and wife Doris Rosemann of Salem, Missouri and Clarence and wife Alice Rosemann of Bunker, Missouri; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

11 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church, Bourbon, Missouri.
