Obit: Rev. Charles Robert Wilson, 90, of Union Star, Mo., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010.  He was born Nov. 7, 1920, In Greenfield, Mo., son of Lois and Landon Wilson.  He served in the Navy and was a veteran of World War II.  Charles was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Evelynn, son, Charles Phillip Wilson, five brothers, one sister, and one granddaughter.  Survivors include his daughter, Gwen Nolan, Union Star, son, Robert Wilson, Burrton, Ks., daughter-in-law, Deborah Wilson Otto, Belton, Mo., 10 grandchildren, and many great and great-great-grandchildren.  Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at the Rupp Funeral Home, St. Joseph, Mo., with Pastor John DeLee officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.  The internment will be at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at the Wetzel Cemetery, Greenfield, Mo.  Memorials are requested to the Flag Springs Baptist Church in care of the Rupp Funeral Home.  On line condolences and obituary at www. ruppfuneral.com

Obit: Evelynn Augusta (Precton) Wilson, 72, Union Star, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2001, at her home .  Mrs. Wilson, a former practical nurse, had worked for numerous health-care facilities in the Kansas City area.  She was a private nurse at one time for the late Harry S. Truman family.  Later she operated a nursing home in Roswell, N.M.  Born in Golden City, Mo., on Jan. 9, 1929, she had lived in the Dade County, Mo., area until 1953, when she moved to Kansas City.  In 1971, she moved to Lamoni, Iowa, and Roswell in 1976.  She had resided in the Albany and Darlington, Mo., areas from 1981 until moving to a farm at Union Star in 1983.  Mrs. Wilson was a graduate of the Greenfield, Mo., high school and was a member of the Flag Springs, Mo., Baptist Church.  On Jan. 1, 1950, she married Rev. Charles R. Wilson in Dade County.  He survives at home.  Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas O. and Alma L. Preston; and two brothers, Finley and Phillip Preston.  Additional survivors:  two sons, Rev. C. Phillip Wilson, Belton, Mo., and Robert L. Wilson, Kansas City, Kan.; a daughter, Gwendolyn Nolan, Union Star; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.  Service: 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Baptist Church, Flag Springs.  The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the service.  Burial: 4 p.m. Saturday, Wetzel Cemetery, Greenfield.  Arrangements: Breit & Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah, Mo.  Memorials may be made to the Flag Springs Baptist Church, 19350 County Road 221, Union Star, Mo., 64494.
