Ligon and Haggard
A party of three families arrived on last evening's train from Kennett, Missouri, and among their number was a man evidently in the last stages of consumption.  His wasted condition and pitiful appearance attracted the sympathetic remarks of the crowd, and it was the general expression that if he was cured the Pecos Valley is even more than the fabled fountain of youth. In the party were J.W. Ligon and L.B. Ligon and their families, Mrs. Sarah Ligon, mother of the two men, and Mrs. Tippia Haggard and children.  L.B. Ligon is the one in such a pitable condition.  Mrs. Haggard will return to Missouri in a couple of weeks, but the others will live in Roswell.
