Stabbed To Death (John Harrison)
Springfield, Mo., Sept. 4 – Jim Bell, a farmer, killed John Harrison, a neighbor farmer, in the town of Marshfield, Webster county, with a knife. They had not been on good terms as neighbors, and when they met in Marshfield Bell, who was drinking, stabbed Harrison four times in the breast.

Bobby Herron, 46, of Springfield, Mo., died Feb. 3 (1981) in a hospital there after a long illness.  Born Dec 31, 1934 in Pocahontas, (AR), he was a son of Buddy and Edith Smith Herron of Walnut Ridge and Pocahontas.  He was a grandson of the late Mrs. Oma Taylor of Pocahontas.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Feb 7 in the chapel of Ayre-Goodwin Funeral Home with Rev. Houston Montgomery officiating.  Interment was in Hazelwood Cemetery there.  Pallbearers were Earnest Hancock, Ray and Levi Huddleston, Rex Young, William Blakey and Donald Dicus.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Frances Herron; three children, Jeff Ann, Randy and Curtis Herron of Springfield; an aunt, Mrs. Essie Oaks, resides in Pocahontas.
