Crime News

Another murder was committed at Trenton, Mo., on Friday last. On that night a man named Gibson, was fatally shot in Maggard's club room by someone unknown to the officers of the law. The ball entered the inside corner of the left eye, ranging downward through the base of the brain and lodging in the back part of the head. Elmer Renick, the bartender, Bill Cramer and two women of ill repute, Dell Huddleston and Mollie Hargrave, who were in the place, have been placed under arrest.
Gibson, the man who was shot, is a gambler and an all-around tough, and the doctors on examining him down a big butcher knife hid in his vest. He was considered a bad man in search of trouble, but got more than he wanted.
