William B.,son of Harvey V. and Minerva Ann (Campbell) Bensyl, was born in Illinois August 29, 1880. He was one of a family of four. Two brothers, Cash and John, with the parents, preceded him in death. One sister, Mrs. Walker Gibson (Florence) of Eagleville, Mo. survives.
When he was 13 years of age he came with his parents to north Harrison county, where the remainder of his life was spent except one year of residence in Illinois.
On July 11, 1903 he united in marriage with Sarah Ann Hubbard, and to their union were born three daughters, Lona (Mrs. Frank Milligan), Lola (Mrs Ray Marting), both of Bethany, Mo. and Bernice (Mrs. Maurice Lake) of Eagleville, who, with the campanion, a grandson, two granddaughters and one great grandchild, survive.
"Billy" followed the vocation of farming, at which he excelled, and was ever found at his post of duty. His death occurred April 23, 1959. The body lay in state until Saturday, April 25, at 2:00 p.m. then was taken to the Eagleville Christian Church of which he was a member. There the Rev. Alan Dale conducted final rites. Singing was by Mrs. Myron Johnston and Mrs. Edwin Edwards, with Mrs. Gerald Eivins at the piano. Those serving as casket bearers were Paul and Eugene Huitt, Leroy Hale, Dean Bensyl, Hugh Gibson, and Dale Lacy. The floral escorts were Mrs. Dean Bensyl, Mrs. Lester Ruff, Mrs. Leroy Hale, Mrs. Eugene Huitt, and Mrs. Paul Juitt. Interment was in Masonic Cemetery.

Mrs. Lena Bottom dies Sunday as result of fall--Mrs. Lena Bottom, 60, of Marion, IL, died Sunday, March 6, 1964 at 1:10 AM at St. Luke's Hospital in St. Louis, MO from injuries sustained when she fell down basement stairs at her home Friday.
A native of Harrison County, MO Mrs. Bottom was born Dec.
28, 1903 and was the daughter of Thomas and Nellie Neese Harmon. She
was a member of Aldersgate Methodist Church in Marion, Anna Star Chapter
of the Order of Eastern Star, and Williamson County Home Bureau. In
addition to her husband, she leaves her mother of Bethany, MO; two
brothers, Wilburn G. Harmon of Kaycee, WY, and Lowell G. Harmon of Kansas
City, MO; one sister, Mrs. Bernice Coon of Bethany, MO.
