Mrs. Lena Bottom dies Sunday as result of fall--Mrs. Lena Bottom, 60, of Marion, IL, died Sunday, March 6, 1964 at 1:10 AM at St. Luke's Hospital in St. Louis, MO from injuries sustained when she fell down basement stairs at her home Friday.
A native of Harrison County, MO Mrs. Bottom was born Dec. 28, 1903 and was the daughter of Thomas and Nellie Neese Harmon. She was a member of Aldersgate Methodist Church in Marion, Anna Star Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, and Williamson County Home Bureau. In addition to her husband, she leaves her mother of Bethany, MO; two brothers, Wilburn G. Harmon of Kaycee, WY, and Lowell G. Harmon of Kansas City, MO; one sister, Mrs. Bernice Coon of Bethany, MO.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2PM in the Mitchell Funeral Home at Marion, with the Rev. Eugene Black, pastor of the Aldersgate Methodist Church in Marion, officiating. Burial was in Mariam Cemetery at Bethany, MO.[Submitted by: Anna Newell andn2@showme.net - 2007]
