July 2, 1925 and died
Aug. 29,
1946 at the
tender age of 21
years,one
month and
27
days.
She
was united to
Paul
Kenneth Jennings of
Bethany,
MO. on June
9,1944.
To this union one son was
stillborn on
August 29,
1946, as her life
slowly
ebbed away. It
was
named Paul Kenneth,
Jr.
Alma became a
member
of the Mt.Olive
Christian
church, where
she
was baptized
August 24,
1941,
by the
Rev. O.D.
Hedges, and
where
she
remained a faithful member
until the
end.
All that
knew Alma
loved
her.
She had a sweet personality
and always
wore a beautiful
smile for
everybody. She
made
friends
wherever she went, and
always kept
them. She
taught
school for two terms
while
her
husband was in the Navy.
The
children all
loved
her. Her great joy in
life was buying
little gifts
and helping
others to make
them
happy.
She
leaves to
mourn her passing,
her
devoted
husband, Paul;
her
parents Mrms.Loyd
Fish;
three sister and two
brothers. Clella
Mae,
Virgie, Pauline and
Truman,
of the home; and
Alva,
in the South Pacific
in the
army;
grandparents,
Mrms. Henry Smith of
Ridgeway, Mo. ,
Mrs. Sam
Fish of Eagleville,
Mo.
Grandpa Fish whom
Alma
loved so dearly preceded her
in death June 1,
1945.
A
double
funeral service
was held
Sunday, Sept. 1, at
the
Christian church
in
Bethany, by the Rev. O.D.
Hedges, assisted by
the Rev.
Huell Warren,
pastor.
The church
was
filled with relatives and
friends, and the
casket that
held the mother
and baby was
banked
with
beautful flowers.
Clark Foutch of
Ridgeway
sang "Does Jesus
Care?" and
"Going Down
the
Valley." The flower
girls were
schoolmates of
Alma's.
Pall bearers
wer
Dollie,
Darrel, and LaVern Jennings,
and Wilbur,
Clayton and
Raymond
Martin. She
was laid to
rest in Miriam
cemetery.
