Intelligence has been received here that Mr. Daniel Johnston, (brother of Mr. Reuben Johnston of this place) was recently killed, it is said, by bushwhackers near his residence in Henry County, Missouri. Source: Alexandria Gazette, Alexandria, D.C., July 7, 1864

McIntyre and Grinstead
McIntyre and Grinsteads livery barn at Windsor burned this morning together with forty-three head of horses, twenty buggies and carriages, fifty tons of hay, corn, oats, etc. The Windsor Poultry company's plant, the building owned by McIntyre estate and occupied as a boarding house and two dwellings also burned. The loss is $18,600.
