Obit:   At his residence in Howard county,  Aug. 27, 1868, WALTER ADAMS, aged 73 years.
The deceased was born in Maryland, Nov. 9, 1795. He emigrated to Kentucky at an early day, where he remained a short time, after which he removed to Howard county in 1819. He was a contemporary of Daniel Boone, Kit Carson, the Coopers, and others who settled in Howard county in an early day. Mr. Adams married a sister of the late Col. Kit Carson.

Obit: --Distressing Occurrence--Man Killed.
Mr. Vinzenz Stahle and Mr. George Adelman, of this place, were out hunting, last Friday. They were creeping on some wild geese, in a field, and just as Stahle was in the act of fireing, Adelman ran under his gun, and received the contents in his back. He died in a few hours. The gun was charged with buck shot. Mr. A. was an industrious citizen, and leaves a wife.
