Name of Deceased: Albert Franklin Waller

Obit: Albert Franklin Waller of Route 1, New Franklin, died Dec. 22, 1982, at the University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital.  He was 75.  Born April 1, 1907, in Pettis County to John E. Waller and Mary Elizabeth Hughes Waller, he lived his entire life in Cooper and Howard counties.  He married Norma Lillian Irwin on Sept. 28, 1928, in Devil's Lake, N.D., and she survives.  Mr. Waller was a civil engineer and farmer.  Surviving with his wife are five sons, Albert D. Waller of Bartlesville, Okla., Kenneth F. Waller of Annapolis, Md., Larry N. Waller of Route 1, New Franklin, Wilbur L. Waller of Fayette, and Floyd "Bud" Waller of Harrisonville, Mo.; four daughters, Mrs. Betty Yohn of Liberal, Kan., Ms. Bonnie Waller of Wamsutter, Wyo., Mrs. Hazel Roberts of Centralia, and Jannie Waller of Olathe, Kan.; four brothers, Eugene Waller of Nelson, John Earl Waller of Clifton City, Mo., Carl Waller and Robert Waller, both of Pilot Grove; four sisters, Mrs. Beulah of Chamberlain of Newberry Park, Calif., Clara Clark of the state of California, Mrs. Myrtle Clusser of Clifton City, and Mrs. Betty Andereck of Houston, Texas; 31 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.  A sister preceded him in death.  The body was cremated.  In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions to the Agnew-Mallinckrodt Scholarship.  Arrangements are under the direction of Markland Funeral Home in New Franklin.

Obit: Maj. Alphonso Wetmore died in St. Louis on the 13th inst., in the 56th year of his age. Maj. W. was an officer in the U. S. Army 21 years, and lost his right arm in storming the batteries of Fort Erie, in the war of 1812. He formerly resided in this county.

Obit: Fayette, March 17 - Rev. James M. Wilcoxon, 77, a retired Baptist minister, died at 1 a.m. today at Keller Memorial Hospital here, where he was admitted yesterday.  He had been in failing health for several years.  He was born Jan. 10, 1887 in Callaway County, to Charles E. and Jeanette Sanders Wilcoxon.  in 1915 he was married to Miss Althea Williams of Fulton.  The Rev. Wilcoxon was pastor of the Baptist church in Fredericktown from 1935 to 1940. In 1940 he and his family moved to Fayette, where they have lived ever since.  He served Baptist churches in Higbee, Bunceton and Roanoke until 1946, when he became pastor of First Baptist Church in Fayette.  He was pastor there until he was forced to retire in 1952 because of poor health.  Since his retirement, the Rev. Mr. Wilcoxon has been a substitute pastor in several rural churches in the Mount Zion Baptist Association.  He is survived by his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Mac E. Coverdell of St. Charles; and two grandchildren, James Mac Coverdell and Sue Ann Coverdell , both of St. Charles.  Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ralph A. Carr Funeral Home , with Rev. Jean Osborn, pastor of First Baptist Church in Fayette, in charge.  Burial will be in Fayette City Cemetery.  The body will be at the funeral home until time for burial.
