Campbell, Edward L.
Edward L. Campbell, a life-long resident of Mountain View, Missouri, passed away on July 28, 1971, at the age of 66 years.
He was born on March 11, 1885, the son of James Campbell and Nancy Smith Campbell.
He was a member of the Mountain View Church of Christ.
He was united in marriage to Rebecca McClellan on March 22, 1905. To this union six children were born.
He was preceded in death by his wife on May 15, 1954 and a daughter, Mingus, in 1928, at the age of sixteen.
Surviving him are five children: three sons: Claude, of Salt Lake City, Utah; Carlos of Pleasonton, Kansas; Don of Farley, Missouri; two daughters: Pal Charles of Mountain View, Mo. and Nola Pimlott, of Ceres, California; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Obit: WASHINGTON -- Della M. Carson, 65, of Tecumseh, Mo., mother and sister of Washington residents, died at 1:20 p.m. Friday, May 10, 1996, at her residence.
Born Nov. 22, 1930, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Charlie T. and Elise M. Frederickson Nelson, she married Gordon Carson on May 24, 1948, in Howell County, Mo. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Mike of Washington; two daughters, Mrs. Taylor (Debi) Harpe of Dublin, Ga., and Liz Carson of Tecumseh; two brothers, Herbert Nelson of Elijah, Mo., and Joe Nelson of Washington; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Gainesville, Mo., where visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in EvergreenCemetery in Howell County

Obit: Funeral services for Duane Cline Collins, 65, West Plains, were Wednesday, May 13, 2009, in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Collins died at 8:10 p.m., Sunday, May 10, 2009, in NHC HealthCare. He was born Sept. 21, 1943, in Grimmett, Mo., to Delmar Cline (Coonie) and Bernadean Byers Collins.
Mr. Collins was a farmer, cattle dealer and served as Howell County Assessor for eight years. He was a member of the Missouri Fox Trotters Association, loved to cook and enjoyed hunting. Mr. Collins loved company and was a great father, grandfather and friend. He was of the Church of Christ faith.
He is survived by two children, Duanella Roe, husband, Chris and Kip Collins, wife, Jodie, all of West Plains; 13 grandchildren; and one brother, Max Collins, wife, Loretta, of West Plains. His parents and several aunts and uncles precede him in death.

Obit: Age 83 West Plains - Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the First Baptist Church with the Revs. Lester Bradford and Wendell Page officiating. Mrs. Collins died April 13, 1977 at 9:10 a.m. in West Plains Memorial Hospital.
She was bon Feb. 4, 1894, near Grimmett MO, the daughter of the late Dr. Thomas Benton Morgan and Mar Lane Morgan. She had spent her entire life in this area, receiving her education in the schools of Howell County, and for many years taught in the rural district here. On Aug. 3, 1912, she was married at West Plains to Thomas M. Collins, who preceded her in death March 4, 1966.
Mrs. Collins had been of the Baptist faith since early womanhood with her membership being in the First Baptist Church of West Plains for many years. She was instrumental in starting the Bethany Sunday school class of that church and taught the class for several years. For many years she served as secretary of the Howell County Baptist Association. She also served as Republican committee woman for Siloam Springs for a number of years.
Survivors include three children, Glen Collins and Mrs. Flossie Hoplins, West Plains, and Edward Collins, Collinsville IL; ten grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and a brother, Leroy Morgan, West Plains. Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, a son, Gale L. Collins, an infant son Paul, and four sisters. The family will be at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home this evening from 7 to 9 p.m. to receive friends. Interment will be beside her husband in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains.

Funeral services for Emery Cook, 77 formerly of West Plains were held Sunday June 12, 1988 in the Rose Chapel  Robertson -Drago funeral home in West Plains, with the Rev James Sharp officiating.
Emery Cook, died at 5 pm Thursday June 9, 1988 in Hinsdale Hospital in ILL.  He was born 24 Aug.1910 in Siloam Springs, the son of James G.W and Julia Ann Cook He received his education in the Star school in Howell county and finished his education in Oklahoma.
Emery married Sarah Irene Johnson in West Plains who preceded him in death Sept 1962.
Survisors are four daughters and husbands, Lois and Paul London, Marie and Guy Eddy, Helen and David Birtkestrand, Billie and Ed House.
One brother Luther Cook, one Sister Louella Cook VanDusen, and 19-grandchildren, 2 greatgrandchildren and many Nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents James G.W. and Julia Ann Patton Cook one daughter Alice Cowan and 10 brothers and sisters.
Buried in Homeland Cemetery West Plains.

Obit: Funeral Of Jas. Cook , Retired farmer living in West Plains, for last six years
died Sunday Oct 5,1941 at 4:20 pm, he was  78 years old  he passed away at 302  Missouri Ave. the home of his son Emory Cook  where he had been living .    Services were held at 3:00 pm at the Congreational Methodist church on Cleveland Ave. with the Rev. D.C. Wills. Pastor in charge.

Mr Cook ,was born July 5.1864 in Ivy Log Union County GA.  he came to Silom Springs area about 38 years ago with his wife  Julie Ann  Patton Cook , and 7  of their children, and added 5 more to the family while living in Howell Co.  He took his family to Oklahoma  sometime before 1920, and returned  to West Plains after his  wife Julie Ann died in 1932.
Children besides his son Emory whom he was living with  are  Dora Collins of Silom Springs,  Minnie Newton of West Plains, Henry  of Melbourne Ark. Tennie Inglis Norma Oklahoma,  John Cook, William and Samual W Cook of Tahlequah Oklahoma, Robert of Pritchett Colo.  Luther of Pawhuska Oklahoma , Louella Cook Van Dusen of California.
Burial was At the Oak Lawn Cemetery  in west Plains.

Obit: James Henry Cooper was born February 2, 1935 and passed away July 14, 1991. He was married to Norma Lee Harris April 26, 1953. They had one daughter, Vicki Lynn Cooper, born July 12, 1954.
James' parents were Lloyd Franklin Cooper and Hester Marie Robinson Cooper. He had one sister Lola Mae Cooper Brown and one brother Dennis Ray Cooper.
His grandparents were James Carroll Cooper and Alice Cooper. Oscar Robinson and Ella Mae Stricklin Robinson.
