Obit: Age 91, Joplin MO - Funeral services Wednesday at Little Zion Baptist Church, 9 miles west of West Plains on CC Highway, with Melvin Reeves officiating.
Former area resident. Mrs. Fox died at Joplin. She was born at Pottersville Feb. 9, 1884. She had lived in Joplin since 1942 and was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death is her husband Albro Fox, and a son, Clarence Orville Fox.
Survivors include three sons, L.ehman W. Fox, West Plains, John Lester Fox, Lyons KS, James Fox, Benton KS, three daughters, Mrs. John 'Ruby' Brown, Joplin MO, Mrs. Marvin 'Ruth' Santos, Charleston SC, and Mrs. Charles 'Evelyn' Endicott, Jefferson City MO; a half brother, Martin Wright, a stepbrother, Edward Aud Wright, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery under the direction of Thornhill and Dillion Funeral Home, Joplin MO

Obit: Mr. Delbert Dale Fox, 65, retired C & L Supply employee, died at 12:03 A.M. on Saturday in Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
A native of Missouri, Delbert Dale Fox was born July 23, 1938 at West Plains. He was reared and began his elementary education there prior to the family moving to Caney, Kansas. He completed his education at Caney and was graduated with the Senior Class of 1956 from Caney High School. He and the former Beverly Ann Woodard were married in 1961 at Miami, Oklahoma and established their home at Caney.
Surviving Mr. Fox are his son, Del Ray Fox, Dewey; his daughter, Janet Hobson, Bartlesville; two grandchildren, Jenna Harris, Henrietta, Okla. and Trey Hobson, Bartlesville; a great grandson, Keaton Harris, Henrietta, Oklahoma; his brothers, Robert N. Fox, Caney, Kansas, Jerry Fox, Marion, Indiana; his sister, Ms. Margie Bailey, Caney, Kansas; his nieces, Vickie Hinkle & Kristy Fox and a nephew Jerry D. Fox. He was preceded in death by his father, Lehman Fox, mother Alice Nelson Fox, and a brother, Donald Fox.

Obit: Virginia E. Riley Fox - Age 84, West Plains MO - Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Fox passed away 11:34 a.m. Monday, Aug. 27, 2007, at Brooke Haven Healthcare. She was born June 27, 1923, in Howell County, Mo., to Carl W. Riley and Lalla Hudlow Riley. She graduated from West Plains High School in 1941, and each month the remaining classmates would get together having lunch and visiting. On March 23, 1946, she was married in Howell County, Mo., to Allen “Dall” Fox, and to this union two children were born. Mrs. Fox taught at the Vienna School, a one-room school, and substituted for the South Fork and Fair View School Systems.
She had been active in the Crider Community for years having served as a 4-H group leader for the Union Grove Jolly Workers. Mrs. Fox was a member of the Union Grove Church having served her church as Sunday school superintendent, secretary/treasurer, and would help organize the Vacation Bible Schools and Christmas plays.
She is survived by her husband, Allen “Dall” Fox, West Plains; two daughters, Rita Stewart, husband, Bill, Pottersville, Mo., and Linda Sanders, West Plains; four grandchildren, Josh Stewart, wife, Amy, Dora, Mo., Nathan Sanders, Richland, Mo., Tiffany Atkinson, West Plains, and Courtney Sanders, fiance, Kaleb Smith, Alliance, Neb.; three great-grandchildren, Jake and Sy Stewart, Dora, Mo., and Addison “Addie” Sanders, West Plains; one sister, Berneice Roberts, Pottersville, Mo.; three sisters-in-law, Ollie Fox, West Plains, Geneva Fox, Troy, Ill., and Earnestine Fox, Lodi, Calif.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Her parents; one grandson, Jeremiah Stewart; one brother, Joseph Riley; several brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, precede her in death.
Burial will be at Union Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Brooke Haven Activity Fund or charity of choice and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
