Name of Deceased: JOHN O. NOLTE

A lifelong resident of Howell County, John O. Nolte, 53, of Mountain View died yesterday morning at 5:30 o'clock at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Paul McBride at Mountain View.
He had been confined to his bed for the past eight months, and had been ill for two years.
Funeral services are to be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Dripping Springs Church, conducted by Rev. Earl Thompson of Peace Valley. Burial is to be in the Dripping Springs Cemetery.
The body will remain at the Duncan Funeral Home until time for the services.
Born Jan. 15, 1901 in Howell County, Mr. Nolte was the son of A. L. Note of  Route 3, West Plains and the last Mrs. A. L. Nolte. He had made his home near West Plains and Mountain View most of his life.
Surviving him besides his father are three children, Mrs. Paul McBride, Mrs. W. M. McVickers and John D. Nolte; four sisters, Mrs. Sam Nelson, Mrs. Wilburn Coble, both of Route 2, West Plains, Mrs. Ella Carter of West Plains, Mrs. Charley Brown of Rover and a brother, Victor A. Nolte of Oakland, Calif.

Tamar Jane Nord
Tamar Jane Weller Nord, 97, died Thurs., July 2, at her home in Lebanon, Or.  She was buried in the IOOF Cemetery.  Rev. Tom Shepherd officiated with Jost Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
She was born Tamar Jane Weller on Feb. 26, 1890, at Mountain View, Mo. to John William Weller and Elizabeth Jane Weller.  She is a sister of Gladys Bales of Mountain View and Lester Ray Weller of Lebanon, Or. and the late Charles Wller, Burley Weller, Lucy Todd, Walter Weller and Ellen Willbanks and numerous nieces and nephews.
Until 1950 she worked as a welder in the Portland shipyards. In 1953 she married Charles Nord in Portland.  He preceded her in death in 1975.
Mrs. Nord moved to Lebanon in 1977 and resided there since.

Graveside services for Hubert Albert Nokes, 70, West Plains, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains.
Mr. Nokes died at 12:45 p.m., May 9, 1987, in St. Louis Regional Medical Center.  He was born Aug 11, 1916, at West Plains, the son of the late George Washington and Murtle Johnson Holmes Nokes.
Survivors include his stepmother, Leatha Nokes, West Plains; two brothers, Clifford Nokes, West Plains, and Roy Nokes, Monett; two sisters, Dottie Roggenkamp, Mtn. View, and Lois Hutchinson, Wichita, Kan.; several nieces and nephews, including Nelda Luna, West Plains; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Neal Nokes.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains.
