Obit: Andrew A. Whitt, 76, of Ironton, died October 24, at Arcadia Valley Hospital.  He was born in Irondale on January 21, 1912, to Robert Whitt and Irene Province.  He grew up in this area but worked in Canon City, Colorado for several years.  He was a retired painter and farmer.  He was a member of Mount Moria Lodge # 15 AF and AM, Canon City, Colorado.  Survivors include his wife Ora Whitt, of Ironton, one brother Fred Whitt, of Pilot Knob, and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.  Masonic  services were held Thursday evening at 7:30, by Star of the West Lodge # 133.  Funeral services were conducted Friday, October 28, at the Bryson Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Keith Huffman officiating and Mary Ann Bennett as Organist.  Casketbearers were Otto Cook, John Cook, John Cook Jr., Delmar Cook, Bill Tate and Bob Cook.  Burial was in the Arcadia Valley Memorial Park.

Obit: Irene Whitt was born near Irondale, Mo., Jan. 7, 1890, the daughter of John L. and Susan (Sutton) Province.  She passed away at the Mineral Area Hospital on Feb. 25, 1977, at the age of 87 years, one month and 18 days.  She was united in marriage to Robert R. Whitt on March 30, 1911.  To this union two sons were born, Andrew A. of Ironton and Fred F. of Pilot Knob.  She was preceded in death by her husband, her mother and father, a sister Elizabeth, and three brothers, Lewis, John and Everett Province.  She leaves to mourn her passing her son Andrew and wife, Ora; one son Fred and wife Betty; two grandsons, a granddaughter, and five great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.  She also leaves an uncle Tom Province of St. Louis, and an aunt, Jean Wortham of Cedar Hill.  She is survived by four brothers, William V., James T., Joseph F., and E. Quentin Province all of Irondale.  She was a member of Hazel Glen Methodist Church but in later years, due to the disbandment of this church, she attended other churchs.  Funeral services were held at the White Funeral Home at Ironton on Feb. 27, 1977, at 2 p.m. with burial in the Arcadia Valley Memorial Cemetery.
