Kansas City and Vicinity
At the conference both president and vice-president were absent, being at the convention at Denver. Secretary Settle called meeting to order. Dr. Armstrong elected mod. pro tem. We gladly welcomed Brother O.P. Bishop back to the conference. He is looking well, but shows that he has been living the "strenuous life." He spoke to us, by special request, and much to our delight. Surely the overseas men have had great experiences. The body thanked Brother Bishop for his address.
Notice well now! We meet next Monday. We hope Dr. Gaebelein of New York City will be the speacker.

Six additions to church during the first month of the present pastorate.

Blue Springs MO - W.D. Lyerle pastor. We had an all day meeting Saturday, this being the occasion for the annual roll call. At 11 Rev. R.F. Jaudon of the Tabernacle Baptist Church, Kansas City preached from a text found in Gal. 1:8-9. Brother Jaudon delivered a great sermon, as he always does. At noon a sumptuous dinner wsa served on the lawn and while "all did eat and were filled" they must have taken u 12 baskets full of the fragments. At 2 oclock there was a roll call and about 100 responded. At 2:30 Dr. O.P. Bishop of the Bales Avenue Church delivered a fine address and his experiences while in France. There were four additions to the church. Altogether we had an enjoyable time and we were delighted to have many friends and visitors from Kansas City, Independence and elsewhere with us.. Come Again.
