Mrs. Dora J. Donelson, 84, of 400 Norton died
Friday at the home. She was born in Nebraska and had lived in Kansas City, MO
nearly 30 years. She was a member of the Central Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are two sons, James Donelson, Englewood, CO and John Donelson of Rapid
City, SD; four daughters: Mrs. Ammel Barnett, Princeton, MO; Mrs. Mildred Groom,
Independence, MO, Mrs Ella M. Tyer, Kansas City MO and Mrs. Ann Chambers of the
home; two brothers, Levi Rhoades and Homer Rhoades of Galt, MO; 34
grandchildren, 81 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Services
were held at Blackman Guardian Chapel with burial in Union Cemetery.

Deceased Name: THE REV. WILLIAM E. DALY
The Rev. William E. Daly, 79, of the Little Sisters of the Poor nursing home,
8745 James A. Reed Road, died Jan. 24, 1991, at Saint Joseph Health Center.
Father Daly was an associate pastor in the Catholic Diocese of Kansas City-St.
Joseph for 28 years. He served at St. Elizabeth and St. Francis Seraph parishes
in Kansas City in 1963-64 and at St. Sabina parish, Belton, in 1964-65.
He was associate pastor at St. Patrick's church in St. Joseph from 1965 to 1969;
at St. John LaLande parish, Blue Springs, from 1969 to 1978; and at St.
Catherine's parish, Kansas City, in 1978-79. He was associate pastor of St.
Joseph's parish in Easton, Mo., from 1979 until returning to St. Joseph to
assist in starting Our Lady of Guadalupe parish in 1981. He was associate pastor
at St. Mary's Church in Carrollton, Mo., for two years before retiring in
November 1990.
He was ordained at the Jesuit Seminary in St. Marys, Kan., in 1945 and was a
missionary in India for eight years and a teacher at the Trappist Monastery in
Ava., Mo., for two years. He was born in Medford, Mass., and returned to Kansas
City from Carrollton in November 1990. Survivors include a brother, Daniel Daly,
Boston.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Little Sisters of the Poor chapel;
graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Cemetery,
Shackelford, Mo. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Monday at the chapel, where wake
services will be at 7 p.m.
