Obit: Rev. Raymond Cark Van Amber, age 67 years, passed away peacefully at Deaconess Hospital in Cincinnati on Monday morning March 17, 2008. Rev. Van Amber, of Colerain Township, dedicated his life to Pastoral and Evangelical  ministry since 1961. Ordained as an Assemblies of God Minister, Rev. Van Amber
received an Associate Bible Degree, Bachelor of Theology Degree and two Honorary Doctorate Degrees. He served as President of a City Wide Ministerial Alliance in
Missouri; Director of Christ International Center in Houston, Texas; Founder and President of "Inroads," a crisis intervention center servicing thirteen counties
in Oklahoma; and worked as a Sectional Youth Director in Florida and Christian Education Director in Texas. Rev. Van Amber was the author of two books,
"When Drinking is Sinful" and "Satan On The Loose." He served as Minister for six years at the First Assembly of God Church in Vinita, Oklahoma; The Avon Worship
Center in Avon, North Carolina for four years; Trinity Christian Center in Houston, Texas for five years; Marshall Avenue Assembly of God Church in
Cincinnati, OH for 16 years and served as Interim Pastor for eleven months at the First Assembly of God Church in Hillsboro, Texas. Rev. Van Amber dedicated
his life to building faith in the hearts of the Christian, to equip the church in soul winning and to bring others to Christ and prepare the Church for
Rapture. Loving husband of Sherrie (Koch) and the late Alice Ann (Farris) Van Amber. Devoted father of Deborah Helton and her husband, Rev. Johny, Christine
Nessle and her husband, Keith, Susan Hanisch and Nancy Bockerstette and her husband, Craig, and step father of Monica Baker and her husband, Rev. Christopher, Angela Bresee and her husband, Rev. Scott, & Renee McClure and her husband, Bryan. Beloved grandfather of 13 grandchildren, 9 step grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Doris Barlett and her husband, Wayne. Friends may call at Miller-Busse & Borgmann Funeral Home, 3464 Central Parkway at Clifton Hills,
Clifton, Wednesday 4 PM until time of funeral service at 6 PM. Burial will be held in Forrest Park Cemetery in Joplin, Missouri.
