Mrs. J. C. Kibler Dies at Hospital
Funeral Services and Burial Will Be at Wheeling.
Mrs. Sallie Burnett (Houghton)
Kibler, wife of James Clarence Kibler, 804 Dickinson street, died at 12:45 Sunday morning at the Chillicothe hospital, where she had been a patient and seriously ill
since May 18. She had been in failing health since 1940. Mrs. Kibler was born on May 17, 1880, at State Mills City, Va., the daughter of Jackson and Ellen Houghton.
She was educated in Virginia and came to Daviess County in 1900. On Aug. 26, 1900, she was married to James Kibler at Gallatin. Mr. and Mrs. Kibler moved to Wheeling in 1931 and resided there until 1913 Then they established a residence in Chillicothe.
In addition to her husband of the home, she is survived by seven daughters, Mrs. Lucille Huffman Winston; Mrs. Ruth Strickland. Atlanta, Ga.; Mrs. Virgie Irvin, Chillicothe; Mrs. Lula May Comstock, Bethel; Mrs. Daisy Lee Walton, Granite City. Ill : Mrs Dorothy Melton, Norwalk. Calif., and Mrs Mary Petros, San Pedro, Calif., three sons. Clarence Kibler, Meadville, and Chester Kibler and Walter Kibler, Independence: a brother, Richard Houghton, Altamont; two sisters. Mrs. Elmer Sharrah.
Jamesport, and Mrs. Daisy Herndon Culpepper, Va : 17 grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents and nine sisters

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 Tuesday afternoon at the Baptist church in Wheeling.
The service will be conducted by the Rev Medord Speaker, assisted by the Rev. W. S. Cox.
Interment will be at Wheeling.
The body will lie in state at the Norman Funeral Home until 12:30 Tuesday when it will be removed to the church and lie in state until the hour of the service.
