A. 10-year old Marshall boy has answered the Slater Index query:

 

 

At what point in Missouri would a horse, attached to a halter three miles long, be able to graze

in five counties in the state?

 

The boys answer was:

 

“That if the horse were hitched at the northeast corner of Madison, where it joins Perry, it could

graze in Ste. Genevierve, St. Francois, Perry, Madison and Bollinger counties”
