BROOKS DIES IN HOSPITAL
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL TAKE PLACE SUNDAY AFTERNOON
Aged 78 years, Andrew Brooks, Sr., 601 Ben Lomond street, passed away in
Levering hospital at 9:30 o’clock last night [Dec. 12].
He was a native of Canada, born in 1862. Surviving are the following children.
Mrs. Michael Sughru, Mrs. George Summers, Mrs. Walter Partlow, and J.E. Brooks
of Hannibal; Harvey of Kansas City; Walter of New London; Andrew, Jr., Henry and
Fred of Hannibal; one brother, Elmer Brooks of West Alton, Mo.; a sister, Mrs.
Margaret Krueger of Tacoma, Wash.; 24 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. His wife, Josephine, passed away in 1929.
Mr. Brooks, who was well known on the south side, had been bedfast for the last three weeks.
The remains were removed to the James O'Donnel funeral home. Services will be held at 1:15 o'clock Sunday afternoon with Rev. John W. Golden conducting.
Burial will be in the cemetery at Hydesburg.

The funeral of Andrew Brooks, Sr., held at the James O'Donnell funeral home
Sunday afternoon at 1:15 o'clock, was conducted by Rev. John W. Golden.
Burial
was at Hydesburg with Mike Sughru, George Summers, William Partlow, Henry
Brooks, Fred Brooks, and Andrew Brooks, Jr. as pallbearers.
