Wendel Logsdon
Wendel L. Logsdon, 91 of Hannibal, MO died at 10 p.m. on
Nov. 30, 1999 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.
He was born Nov. 27, 1908 in Versailles, a son of John and Katie
Davis Logsdon. He married Darlene Pool on June 30, 1934 in Springfield.
She survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, David (wife Linda)
Logsdon of St. Charles, MO, two sisters Dorothy Fry of Mt. Sterling and
Ruby Baker of Versailles,
two grandchildren, Tanya L. Stege of O'Fallon, MO and Craig Logsdon of St.
Charles, MO, one great granddaughter and an aunt, Lucy Sides of Versailles.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Verna Logsdon, Vera Logsdon
and Kathryn Ray and one brother, Halmer Logsdon.
Services were held at 10:30 Friday Dec 3, 1999 at the Smith Funeral
Chapel in Hannibal with the Rev. Walter Reed officiating. Burial was in
the West Side Cemetery in Versailles.

Hannibal, Mo. - Carl D. Lewellen, 59, of
Hannibal Route 1, died unexpectedly at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday (March 11, 1980)
in the home of Edward Yohn in New London.Mr. Lewellen was born in Vandalia
March 19, 1920, a son of Dennie and Emma Spegal Lewellen.
He married Velva Dean Booker June 10, 1926 (maybe a
typo), in Hannibal. He was a carpenter. He was a veteran of World War
II and was a member of the Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife; his mother, Mrs. Emma Bross of Hannibal, two sons, John of Hannibal and Ronald of New London, and four sisters, Mrs. Mike (Helen) Whitten of Hannibal, Mrs. Lloyd (Ruth) Conroy of Louisiana, Mrs. Dale (Marjorie) Armour of Fresno, Calif. And Mrs. Jack (Viola) Sullivan of Morgan Hill, Calif.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Clark Funeral Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Roger Briggs. Burial will be in Grand View Burial Park.
