Joiner, George Washington, 79 year old resident of Parma, died Friday, July 8, at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, at 2:30 at the Parma General Baptist Church. The Rev. T.D.  Davis officiated and burial was in the Malden Memorial Park cemetery with
Watkins, arrangements.
 
Mr. Joiner was born on March 25, 1876 in Elizabethtown, Ill. the son of  Mr. and Mrs Hickman Joiner.
In Sep. of 1904, he was united in marriage to Miss Effie Alice Brockett of Elizabethtown.
Their only daughter preceded him in death in her infancy. . He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Effie Joiner of Para; two brothers, Abe Joiner of Herod, Ill and Will Joiner of Herod. Ill.
four sisters, Mrs. Mary Senior, Mrs. Mattie Elders, Mrs. Bertha Hicks and Mrs. Lola Cochran.
